"Law and Race-Making in Early America" was the eighth lecture of the Diversity and U.S. Legal History Series presented by the Office of the Dean and the Diversity and U.S. Legal History Reading Group. Annette Gordon-Reed, Charles Warren Professor of American Legal History, gave the lecture on October 26, in Wasserstein Hall. The lecture series is a companion to the Diversity and U.S. Legal History Reading Group lead by Professor Mark Tushnet.

This was such a wonderful lecture and I really enjoyed it! Professor Gordon-Reed is an amazing lecturer and I have learned so much about this topic on how racism shapes the laws in the early times of US history that I otherwise probably would have never had the opportunity to. It was very informative yet engaging and I was surprised I did not get distracted like I usually would during lectures. HLS thank you so much for putting this up and I'm looking forward to more amazing law lectures in the future :)
