Frida is everything a women can be. She is simply the best performer with the greatest voice. I wish the cameras was only on her because she would have made it more worthwhile to look at these videos. I don't know what more to say as long as Frida realizes that she's got a fan that thinks the world of her.
Indimenticabile... la tua voce, i tuoi occhi verdi , il tuo sorriso . Ancora oggi sei sempre bella , anche se sono passati gli anni. I' love you AnnaFrida .
Not to bust your chops, but... Actually, PKH only stated she was a German singer. She might be Russian but she is a German singer just as PKH said. Helene Fischer was born in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, Russia (then the Soviet Union) as the second child to Peter and Maria Fischer. Her father worked as a physical education teacher and her mother as an engineer at a university. Her paternal grandparents were Volga Germans who had been deported to Siberia in 1941 by Joseph Stalin.[4] In 1988, at the age of four, she emigrated with her parents and her six-year older sister to Wöllstein, Rhineland-Palatine, West Germany.[5] After graduating from school, Helene Fischer attended the Frankfurt Stage & Musical School for three years, where she studied singing and acting.[6] During this time, Helene performed on stage at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, as well as on the stage of the Volkstheater Frankfurt (de). Since May 2008 she has been dating Florian Silbereisen. In October 2011 Fischer was presented with her own wax figure in the Berlin Madame Tussauds museum. (Wiki)

Why are you grieving Fernando? Why does your guitar sound so sad; what’s going on? Is it love Fernando - has she left you, your great, great love - is that it? Those who have loved and lost know that it happens from time to time. The grief can be difficult to bear, but betrayal by friends is something you have to learn to live with. I have also lost, my dear, How could you think that this could only happen to you … Have you got any happy songs to play, play, play them for me! Long, long live love our best friend, Fernando. Raise your glass and propose a toast to it, to love, Fernando! Play, play the melody and sing the song of happiness. Long, long live love! To love, Fernando! Shall we propose a toast to the others for eternal love and faith that lives in every song? Or toast to each other? Would you drink for the happiness that I once had… It is true what they say a beautiful fairytale never, ever lasts.
First time I hear this. Being danish and with family in Sweden I understand the lyrics. Right now a great song became even greater. This music is so beautiful I can't help to get a tear in my eye.
@@MoMo-dm4ux Cheers from Sweden! Ich kein ein bischen Deutsch sprechen, after one night at the Oktober fest I can also speak, and count in Danish - that is has for a Swede :-) 😃
it's a no-brainer. this swedish version wouldn't have gone mainstream. the boys saw the potential of the song and did an english version. frida would've been stupid to refuse based on ownership. she's smart lady
It looks beautiful my Frida singing in her swedish language. I am happy because they will record the 4 togheter. Agnetha and Frida still have the charm since their youth.
I love this so much. The beauty of the chosen images complements the beauty of Frida’s voice so well in her outstanding original version of Fernando. Thank you x
I was only one day younger than Bjorn when I first saw ABBA in 1976. I was absolutely fixated by the dark haired female singer. I thought this must be every man's dream woman. Agnetha was lovely, but Frida---so beautiful and charming--and that incredible sugar sweet voice. She still is a true princess.
This version became a big hit in Scandinavian countries for Frida. So they decided to translate it in English for ABBA. That became a huge succes in Australia, followed by Europe, and the rest is history... And all just, because Stig wanted Frida in the same record company as the other members, he promised her a solo Album, Frida Ensam.
I saw that “Fernando & Ensam the whole album” was released in Sweden in 1975 but “Fernando” as a English single was released in 1976 in America etc. and always wanted which came first and wasn’t too sure for sure the story behind which came first, I’ve been wanting to know thank you for sharing! 😍❤️
Frida was Stig's golden girl. She is ABBA's only professional vocalist, and the groups natural front and center performer entertainer pro. She checked all the boxes. An all around professional. Stig was Polar Music, but Frida had all the pull. She understood the business. She understood her value. It was not easy to get Frida. In 1972, Stig Anderson Polar Music and Frida entered into a partnership. Frida accepted and signed a solo Polar Music contract and also agreed to join the group. Frida, the hard working, perfectionist was all in. Stig Anderson eventually named them ABBA. Frida was the last one if the entire ABBA/Polar Music Team (below) to commit: Stikkan 'Stig' Anderson Gorel Johnsen-Hanser Anni-Frid Lyngstad Benny Andersson Bjorn Ulveras Agnetha Falkskog Rutger Gunnarsson Michael B Tretow & ABBA's loyal top rank session/touring musicians. Frida had all the pull. She was hesitant to join a pop group. A comedown from the vocal centric genre's for which she preferred. After the foursomes cabaret shows winter of 70/71, the uncommitted Frida left the group. No more foursome. No future ABBA. It took Stig over a year of negotiations and a sweet contract to get Frida on board. Frida had all the power.
@@danbike9 Look, we both adore Anni-Frid but some of your statements are almost designed to antagonise. What does 'only professional vocalist' mean? Yes, Frida was on a path to be a singer from an early age and trained in different skill sets along the way to stardom. And she is a superb live singer. I witnessed it first hand in November 1979. But all four of the ABBA members were professional musicians before ABBA was formed with three of them quite clearly front-line vocalists. Although they were a vocal harmony group, Bjorn was lead vocalist of the Hootenanny Singers from his teens and they were Polar's first signed musical act in 1963.. Agnetha made a wise career choice in giving up being a telephonist and going full time as a singer at 17 years old. She had already released three solo albums before the foursomes Festfolk venture in the winter of 70/71. Some might have started earlier than others but they were all 'professional' at what they were very good at. Frida was naturally hesitant after the Festfolk debacle and especially so as she was getting #1 solo songs during '71 and '72. Both she and Agnetha were giving up a great deal of freedom to be in a group instead of making decisions as soloists. They both knew they weren't going to be the sole lead vocalist in such a group for starters. And in a group that had an uncertain future. It's clear that they were hedging their bets and keeping their options open, even after the Eurovision win, because both continued to record solo albums that were released in 1975. I spend too much time having to defend Anni-Frid from absurd accusations from others or put right those who either ignorantly or maliciously under-appreciate what she contributes to ABBA. So it would be hypocritical to stay silent when others in the group are almost being portrayed as happy amateurs. Frida fans are also ABBA fans and should be better than that. These are four super talents, each with their own strengths, who combined to created something special.
@@chelseacharger ABBA:Bright Lights Dark Shadows The Real Story of ABBA By Carl Magnus Palm Read every single book and watch ever documentary by Carl Magnus Palm. Also pickup others on ABBA, although nobody knows more about ABBA than Carl Magnus Palm. Frida's reputation among friends and music pro's is stellar. She is the real deal. She has lived a very interesting life.
@@danbike9 Mate. I've had that biography for many years and The Complete Recording Sessions book by Carl Magnus Palm. I've read many of the other books about the group too plus 'Frida Beyond ABBA'. I've been a fan of the group for over 45 years and saw them in concert at Wembley. I know Anni-Frid is a stellar vocalist. I say it enough myself. And as a live performer, she had the most experience of the four. But we can praise her to the heavens without diminishing the others. They were all professional musicians when they joined forces.
Fernando is ABBA's best song just like the position of The Blue Danube in Waltz. This Swedish version is extremely special in which her voice is purest like spring in the Spring.
Our biggest musical phenomenon of all time, it is difficult to accept how can a perfection of this stop acting I'm a fan of cardboard I get drooled seeing this musical beauty would be total success yesterday, today, and whenever beauty to today the two vocalists congratulations
@lindaste14 Ahem.. this is the SWEDISH original, actually. :)) First came Fernando in Swedish and then Benny and Bjorn realized how much success Frida had with this one in Sweden and then they decided to do it in English.
And eventually also the Spanish version. And yes, I can understand the lyrics 'cause I'm a native Hispanic. (But anyway, don't mind the language... ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT👍)
'Fernando' is a Frida original from her solo album 'Frida Ensam' (Frida Alone). This was a huge hit for Frida as well as her album. Bjorn re-wrote the lyric for the english ABBA version. 'Frida Ensam' (Frida Alone) was recorded in 1974/75 and released in 1975.
What is your 1st ever memory that you are able to remember as a baby? (1-3 years old). Mine it is listening Fernando with my parents at beach in summer. Thats why it feels so special 4 me. Much love from Spain
Three versions. Frida: 1. Fernando - demo, tango version 2. Fernando - Swedish original. big hit for Frida. ABBA 3. Fernando - ABBA's english language version.
What a amazing tune in this song. We can purely concentrate in this music be clam down our selves. In fact Agnetha's best choice is this song. This music has the power to eradicate depression and. Other mental disorders of the people without taking any medication. Greatest gift given by ABBA to their fans
