If you watch the video, he’s in the hospital at the end with a picture of Elvis hanging above his bed like it would be Jesus and I just know that Annie Lennox saw this video and that is the inspiration for that Elvis jumpsuit she’s wearing. She is serving up some Elvis Presley here. she is a queen of cover interpretation. I love her original music but this cover is 1000 times better than the original and it moves deeply and every several times.
Well done to the brilliant ASH for this great pop song in the first place. But in all fairness Annie Lennox is and always was a class act. A perfect interpretation of this great little number.
I looked for this song because I remembered when I was still a teenager, I woke up to this song playing at MTV at 2 AM (fell asleep while watching TV) and I instantly loved the song.

Anyone who doesn't rate Annie Lennox doesn't understand the art of great song and music, she's an icon and an inspiration, a woman of amazing strength, character and talent, she's simply wonderful.
tusheschannel You spilled the TEA. She's so goddamn intelligent AND talented, that Eurorythmic song just doesn't channel the MAGIC that this woman has. All of her albums are excellent, what is there to wish for this woman? If anything she deserve a Nobel Peace prize for existing.
Can only agree BlueEyedCubTN...but much more than that: why I love this clip so much is that Annie Lennox does what she does best in here...not only is there a great song, but she gives each character a life, a relatable something, I do not know what exactly Annie Lennox does here, but she adds sth to her own characters in this clip, that just make me wanna know: is the drummer single, how about the bass player, is she married? I just love how Annie Lennox just adds to the catalogue of modern culture...at least as long as i am alive....

This is so radically different from Ash's rocky original that I reckon you should judge it in its own right... I love it as a pop song with great vocals. I really like the video too..
Okay, wanted to give this comment the benefit of the doubt so opened new window and watched Tim Wheeler's version. My ears were burning by :30, actually they were on fire. Not sure if I just happened along a bad version or he was really out of his gourd. Annie did this man a favor and redeemed this song with her rendition. :-)
There are very few cover versions that are better than the original IMO. The Ash version of this song is superb, but Annie takes this to another level altogether. Annie Lennox: Aberdeen's finest. ❤
This video looks like it could've been a wonderful sixties song with the rainbow colors, but they do say trends tend to repeat themselves every twenty years.

I just love this, whenever I see it I always feel this could well be a nod to her days with The Tourists. I adore the Original Ash version, it was but this is a superb "buzzy"cover.
