This is the most BEAUTIFUL, to scale, doll house I've ever seen! I've watched many doll house tours, some extremely detailed mansions but this one is sooooo well done, exact scale and so much love and work went into it! It's AWESOME! And good videography except for the chipmunks voices. I don't think speeding up the voices helped all that much. Besides, it is worth the time. I use to build doll houses but can't do the detail work due to my arthritis and shakey hands (I'm 71). I always wanted to build doll houses like this quality for my granddaughters but only have one and my hands can't do the work anymore. However, I have instilled in my granddaughter and grandson's (they love miniatures too) the love of the miniature world. Oh, and the tiny, knitted sweaters and clothes were amazing!! Not many people half the yarn to make it to scale but this lady took the time and care to do it right! If you use normal, human sized thread and yarn to make a miniature, it doesn't work like real, scale sized material made with the right scaled thread/yarn. I can see the quality of this doll house, I wish I could make one for my only granddaughter. It would be something she would treasure for the rest of her life and through the lives of granddaughters of the future. Fantastic work but the love of miniature is what I admire most. THANK YOU for sharing your passion!!
That China cabinet!!! I never had a China cabinet of my own but helped my niece furnish one for her doll house. As a single mom, with a bachelor's and master's, I raised my two daughters with a love of miniatures but couldn't afford a doll house I would have built with amazing detail. I spent 6 to 8 months, when they were little building a doll house from a kit. I had to build each step in the staircase, piece by piece, when my kid's were asleep but I did it! Such an heirloom!! Annie, have you considered writing a book about your doll house detailing each precious item?
There is no price you can put on the love and work put into this doll house! I never had a doll house as a kid but made sure I made one for my two daughters, a small kit. This is way beyond "priceless", it is of the quality that can NEVER be sold! It is to be passed down from one generation to the next ALONG with the love of quality and miniatures.
Beautiful house and mini collection! The bed is amazing, love your hat box. Wow, with all miniatures I have, I've never had so many utensils and entire china sets, you have so many beautiful ones. One of my dollhouses, La Chateau is like this one, the stairs remove from the front . The pool room is amazing, love the juke box, I have an Elvis one just like that and it plays, where did you get yours from, I got mine at a thrift store for $1. The wine cabinet and that statue are amazing.
This is more than beautiful! I enjoyed the tour thoroughly! Everything was so delicate and detailed. I’m only just starting one, I hope one day to be as detailed as that! Did you work on it slowly over time? Thank you for sharing!!!❤
Wow! How much was spent outfitting this wonderful house? When did she start making this? Is it insured? All these one of a kind items, it reminds me of Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle in Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
