U know, this is the role I've always wanted to play. And since I'm an actress, and I never got this role because my voice is too low and I'm too tall. And I've always loved Annie. So it makes me mad every time someone says I'll never get this role because of my voice and my height. I just have this unexpressed love for Annie. And I tried out for Annie. I was so close to being Annie. I came in 2nd place. But there was no understudies required because this show was at my local church. Instead I go
I know how frustrating that can be. Annie is one of my dream roles as well. I got into acting too late and so I was never young enough to play her. I promise there will be other amazing roles out there for you!
WOW. I know exactly how you feel. I auditioned for Annie 5 times. I only got in 3 times, but I was never Annie. I was fit for Annie when I was younger, but now my voice is too low and I'm too tall. It's really sad because it's my dream role. I will never give up. You shouldn't either. I wish you the best of luck. I know it can be frustrating seeing other people as Annie :/
What drug are you on? Aileen Quinn is definitely not the best Annie. The best Annie has to be between the original, Andrea McArdle, or Alicia Morton. I enjoyed the movie with Aileen Quinn, but she is nowhere near as talented as the others. And Lilla.... let's not go there. She's the least best.
