Bro I wish I could've of turned the music off going against the huntress. Idk but I had such a horrible time fighting that boss is was so bad hearing music blasted in my ear while trying to hear the audio qs
@@xqawasdude you clearly got ran through lol did you even beat it😂 sounds like you didn’t. You literally hear a noise and know you need to roll in a second. Idk what more you want lol. Only like 3 or 4 moves where you switch back and forth from reality and you don’t hear audio you have to go by enemies movement/timing from the previous realm. It’s hard and a lot is going on but it you pay attention after a several attempts it feels amazing to beat.
I legitimately thought that this boss was going to be Clawbone (the one that helped harsgaurd’s to let the root in). Still an awesome and extremely wild fight.
Clawbone will probably be the final boss of the 3rd and final dlc, at least i hope so, and i don't know if annihilation was actually the "dragon" that people were talking about in remnant 1
I’m not even sure if clawbone is real at this point. The lore states that the root was created by a dreamer who “imagined corruption” and it became real. The reason the root’s home world is earth is because it was created by a human. I have no idea where clawbone fits into the root’s time-warping multiverse shit, but alas, here we are.
I can get the first phase no damage but having a lot of trouble getting the telgraphed attacks of the second phase down, this was like...super impressive lol
1st phase was really easy but I was getting wrecked on the 2nd phase. Felt like I wasn't able to see when his attacks were getting telegraphed. Gonna try tonight with no music in game and turning spotify off, the audio Qs seemed pretty easy to pick up on with this
You are absolutely unbelieveable. Watched “speedrunners” try and two man this for a week now and you solo it at a speedrun level. Guys got grit about him. Be the number Eso, you always have been.
Guys if youre struggling with this one i have some tips; 1. Turn your music all the way down. 2. Dont look at the bosses health ever, you'll rush. 3. Take your time, its a marathon. 4. The dragon will sometimes just fly there in place for a sec, take that time to get ammo. If you're full THEN damage. 5. Drink a concoction.
This fight was straight up gaming perfection. Eso you're a fucking beast, whats even more impressive is the speed you drop any and all 0 hit runs huge respect keep it up
Very very confusing at first but got the hang of it finally and beat it. You just need to learn the timings when the glitch phase starts Love the transitions to the glitch phase and real world mid fight it’s bad ass
At first i hated it, simply because i didnt understand it. Didnt realise i had to remember what the boss was going to do next whenever it enters glitch phase and often got hit from behind when going back to it, which didnt feel good. Now i like it
What a masterpiece of a fight, also you're absolutely insanely OP! Man I love the music in this fight coupled with all the visuals it truly feels worthy
I played a lot of games including all of From Software and this was (i beat it today on nightmare after 5 hours) the most difficoult boss fight i've ever faced. Second phase is insane
eh it was difficult but dont exaggerate it, I spent maybe 40min on it vs several hours for most fromsoft bosses. BUT I love the design of this fight, so cool that he pause his attack to resume the fight in the other dimension, I loved this part of the fight
2nd phase just visually overwhelming but when broken down, he is really just doing 1 attack at a time, just giant AoE that sweeps by very quickly so if you dodge correctly, you won't really get hit unlike other bosses in this game where you still get caught in the attack cux it has a "extended" period of dmg output
This is my 4th soulslike, I finished The Surge, DS1 and almost completing DS2 playthrough, and this boss on Veteran is 3rd hardest boss so far, beaten only by Fume Knight and Rogue Process. Definitely good fight though!
This is why I love this game so much. Yes, having a good build and meta weapons and traits help carry you a lot. But at the end of the day there’s no cheesy bullshit that hits you, no off screen snipe, every mechanic can be learned and avoided. The gameplay in this game is unmatched imo
I've been stuck on this boss for 2 days. I've beaten all the dark souls atleast 10 times each, bloldborne atleast 20 times, sekiro 5 times, elden ring 4 times... and I have never been stuck on a boss like I am right now. The second phase is ridiculous, I can get thru the first phase fairly unscathed but I can't even through the first 50% of the 2nd phase.. I'm thinking about doing a couple worlds of adventure mode to upgrade different weapons and find new rings or something...
This is definitely one of the best bosses in any Souls-Like, and I'd rank it up there with the best bosses in Fromsoft's games as well. It takes a while for it to "click", but damn if it isn't one of the most hype fights when it does
How do you reliably get Mythic runes on your relic? When do they even start dropping? Is there any particular farm? I'm power level 19 and I haven't seen them yet, not even regal ones. Insane clear btw. Even with the Ring of the Chadmiral and everything.
I killed it today after 33 tries (After DS1 I started counting my boss attempts in every game :D) on second diff. First try was like OMFG its much harder than any boss before it. Then after two attempts I learned there is second phase and that's where I started crying. But after smoothing out the first phase with no dmg/almost no dmg, I saw progress every fight and at the end I was impressed with the design of Annihilation. Very cool fight, definitely the hardest in Remnant 2 (unless I missed some real shitter via randomization on my PT), it just needs a lot more time to learn patterns.
IKR it’s my favorite boss fight in all the games I’ve played, I see a lot of people complain about how unfair and bs and poorly design this is but this video goes to show it’s just a massive skill issue
They really smoked every drug imaginable and made the most memorable and hardest boss I’ve ever seen, this game is for sure game of the year worthy, it innovates every genre that it has its toes dipped into
I fought this boss after bashing my head against venom, which I absolutely hated. I got to the second phase and I literally couldn’t survive for like more that 2 minutes after that lol. I took a break and the next day beat the boss in like 2-3 tries. It’s really not too bad once you learn it’s patterns, which it basically forces you to do or else you’re dead. Awesome fight all around.
How are you using swiftness and untouchable? Aren't those the archetype traits of the explorer and invader respectively? Thought you can't use them on other archetypes.
This is the player that joins your multiplayer FPS match and you know he's not cheating, but everyone in the chat is calling him a cheater. It's insane skill.
And another video from you I enjoy'd alot. Just let the game and your gameplay speak for thereselfs.Same good as all your Destiny 2 videos. And yes the Sound in this game is so brilliant, until now after 65 gameplay hours, i didn't meat a single scene where the sound not perfectly surrounding the game. For me Sound 10/10 and one of the best of all games I ever played and my age is 62, so I can't count. I've still not beaten this final boss because to less patience but I will for shure. Sometimes I feel a little Darksiders influence, all these stones.....Labyrinth. I never played remnant from the ashes but instantly bought it to play through in future. Thank you for sharing all this.
Glad you enjoyed it! Sound in the whole game is definitely a highlight, it really adds to the gameplay and is very well done. Happy to hear you're enjoying the game, and best of luck with your final boss kill!
kind of it does undeniably has souls elements but to call it a souls game is a bit reductive its more like if dark souls and warframe had a baby if that helps
Soulslike is underselling it. Yes you can roll and heal and you fight bosses and rest at checkpoints, but it also takes a lot of mechanical inspiration from Diablo and kinda becomes its whole own thing.
@@Esoterickk epic, yeah I wish was that good at dodging, been so long I’ve played rem1 that I have lost the touch. I am starting a solo character, and I don’t want my guy to sound mega sarcastic and non serious like my frist guy lol
Me and my friend got curb stomped over 10 times before deciding to watch a video to learn the mechanics. When I seen your title say apoc / no damage I thought "bullshit", then halfway through realized it was you doing it and thought of course fucking esotericck is already running this on apoc and getting a flawless 😂ended up beating it a couple tries later thanks to your video 👍
@@Esoterickk Oh i definitely get that. Took me a god 7-8 tries to just not get slapped by his first attacks immediately after start (not particularly good at these kind of games).
Amazingly done and without a typical min/maxed hunter+gunslinger build as well (or nightfall). What made you use Hunter + Alchemist for arguably the toughest boss in the game?
I've noticed people don't tend to skip the phase cutscene, so it had me wondering as to why that is. Could it be that cooldowns are still counting down during the cutscene?
The cutscene is shown only on your first try, so this is proof that he just ran in and did this on his first attempt. He practiced it a ton of times on another playthrough ofc but nailed it on his first attempt in this playthrough.
@@draskoroo3317 Weird, 'cause that cutscene play only once per playthrough for me. When I run back from the stone to the boss area the fight start, no need to skip anything. It's the same for all the boss fights in the game.
@@Fredgilb29 nah i doubt he done it on the first attempt,i think he actually clip the first cutscene together, you can see the boss coming out from the cloud when he about to start, still its insane
i played this game solo and man it went from 0 to 100 on this boss , thought the game was pretty easy (still very enjoyable to play) till this boss, it probably took me 100 tries to beat that(i didint explore a lot so my level and guns were not that great)
This is my personal Vietnam at the moment. Series S is getting relegated to indies and back catalogue games only after this. When I saw how clear this looks on this video (a RU-vid upload no less) I realized I am actually playing on nightmare difficulty and didn’t even know.
there are hundreds of other and better options. almost at the end and i found like 30 rings or so? and alot of them even have higher damage perks but without this negative
Was trying to help my friend with this boss. 2nd phase he froze in place outside of the simulation but we couldn't cheese him. The funny part is when we returned the boss wouldn't spawn. Even after restarting the game
Wait how you can shoot just 1 orb..and u destroy 2 of it..and here i can see the line quite clear between orbs..but if tone the down graphic you cant really see it -_-
It definitely takes time to get used to its movements. Having audio cues helps a lot. The rest is just remembering all of its attack moves. The realm transitions can be kinda wack
@@shatteringshade7749don't really need it, just time it close, the good part of this boss unlike others is that its only actually 1 attack at a time when you really break it down And the attacks move by so fast, your I frame window is more than sufficient
Wish there was an easier way to fight this boss again instead of going through the whole campaign again. Easily one of the best boss fights in recent memory
I'm at this part, but when i'm at the blackened citadel, clementine and the white guy is at the red fog, but i can't pass, and when i try to talk to them there's nothing to ask, can u help me?
This boss would've been waaay more enjoyable had the visuals not been epileptic and nausea inducing. I seriously had a headache fighting this boss. Something I genuinely never experienced playing any games before, even the most fast twitch action shooters like the recent Doom series. There were times where I just couldn't keep my eyes on the screen because of the exaggerated matrix like effects of reality falling apart and what not.
I don't suffer from those syndorme but while fighitng the boss I couldn't imagine somebody who has medical issues trying to handle this boss lol. Possibly turn the graphics down to the lowest settings.
@@suspiciousactivity4266 Thing is, I'm not someone that is prone to seizures or sensitivity to visual stimuli either. But if I'm bothered, I can only imagine how those that actually have those sensitivities would find this painful. I actually had to resort to using my peripheral vision and memorizing patterns of movements instead of actually focusing on the screen to beat this damn boss.
@@ChrisAlbertH47 no lie fam. lmao. I don't think I can face this boss unless I'm bonkers on caffiene and in the zone. Gotta friggin train my eyes first.
It wont let me enter the boss room i had the cut scene and it even says for the quest to end it once and for all aka at the last spot in the root and it wont let me walk in ive reset and all
@Blubbpaule not really early game, maybe middle game. The thing with thos boss is that there is a lot of things happening , specially on second phase and you do not really know what does hit you and what does not until a few tries, like the rays in the whole zone
Cancer is the hardest boss in Remnant 2. That 1-shot AOE root spamming thing is much harder than Annihilation. People don't talk about it because it's boring visually and the music isn't that good so it generates less clicks.
Ok let me just be very very clear on this one, you my friend you sir have a GOD LEVEL SKILL , very IMPRESSIVE , very very very and again I don’t know if I forgot to say it but VERY VERY VERY IMFUCKINGPRESSIVE also AGGRESSIVE very.
