Our baby girl is 4 months old now and growing leaps and bounds. Like most dads, Vinod had no idea about parenting, but our daughter has proven to be a good teacher. I think being from different cultures our ideas of parenting were so different from each other. They've come a long way from when Vinod didn't even know how to hold a baby. My heart fills with so much joy watching them grow together :)

This content was fabulous. Each Indian dads can learn from Vinod having considered Indian fathers usually do not collaborate with the nursing of their children except for making livelihood. And here's a dad that provide both livelihood and nursing. It couldn't be any better. It's crystal clear Annika is proud of her dad. They communicate each other a lot. After all, there's no one is perfect. So, let it be as his instinct says. Viva Dady Vinod.

Hopefully nowadays they would see enough examples around them to learn to do so 😊 vinod is very lucky to have seen his own father participate quite a bit in his childhood, even though he had a very time consuming job

Annika did not look one bit tired at 5am!! She was ready to tell Daddy all about it and eat his breakfast!! I see over on IG the struggle is real for you right now, l do hope she settles back into a routine again soon for your sanity. Vinod is doing a wonderful job of "winging it" you are both amazing parents, be proud of how you are raising Annika😘

Considering how great Annika was at sleeping for the first 3 months, I could’ve never expected that June could be this big of a struggle for us! 🤯 now I’m kind of missing her colic times. That seemed easy compared to this 😂 i’ve started looking into sleep training options already, but I hope the sleep regression ends first! Most sites say it usually takes 2-6 weeks, we’ve just finished week 3. Hopefully soon! Vinod is more resilient with the sleep deprivation than I am 😄❤️

It sure does make me miss my dad, because he loved being a father to girls only and would have loved to be a grandpa too 🥺 but I actually see a lot of my dad on Annika’s face especially when she is smiling! I think my dad sent Annika as a gift to us, as she was conceived on the first anniversary of his death ❤️

Its so lovely to see Vinod with Annika. They share such a beautiful bond. I love the way he talks to her and how she responds. Its so adorable. Its wonderful that he is so involved. She will definitely be a Daddy's girl but mommy will always be the one she will run to. I have to admit I also felt a bit worried when he was feeding her the grape! This is amazing Daddy and Daughter bonding .Long ago Mothers was left alone to do everything by themselves. I can atest to that .I took care of my 3 children without their father's help .My last daughter is a working mother with 2 Babies .She works as a Pharmacist doing a shift system My son in law do take care of them while their mom is away at work evening into night .So I do commend Vinod He's doing a fantastic job. .Thanks for always sharing. ❤❤❤from Trinidad West Indies. Yes even in Finland equal parenting might not be the most common choice. Dads do participate well, but I'd still say the by far bigger part of the job is up to the moms! But of course it's changing a lot there, the govt especially is encouraging the equal parenting model and dads get as much parental leave as moms

You are right Johanna, here in Sweden too, the government is trying to adjust the system for men to participate more and the father has the right to stay at home for six months with the newborn child while the mother is at work. Thank you for answering, it's always a joy to hear from you. :-)

She loves her Daddy and the sound sleep on him skin-to-skin shows it most, apart from him carrying her while conversing with her through words and showing her stuff , feeding her, dressing her etc is endearing. Especially like u said rightly the Haryanvi men are not prone to PDA with lil girls in particular.

I was that baby who would awake whole night and go to sleep at 5:00 AM, spoiled my moms health. My dad used to have night shifts so she managed all alone. Parents are precious!!

Thanks for the words of comfort! I’m happy that I’m not deep into anxiety and fears over Annika’s health and development, even though I’m prone to have anxiety. In my own opinion I’m pretty chill, more than I would expect moms to be! But vinod just takes chill to a whole other level 😂 i worry of she sleeps, eats, learns and plays enough and he’s just like baby no cry gooood 💁🏾‍♂️

Try to give her a warm bath and good feeding closer to bed time. Bed time routine should start at 7.30 pm. And use a white noise machine. It will help cut out external noises and help her to sleep better. Let her play in the Bath tub for night routine so that baby will be tired. They need to dissipate their gained energy for the day. All the above, worked for my son when he was closer to annika’s age. Hope it works for you too. The bonding is truly magical and adorable. Ask daddy to speak in his mother tongue as well from time to time. Multi lingual babies are smarter babies.

Ur videos are always so heartwarming. And I think that one of the hardest things of being a parent of a new baby is the lack of sleep. It is impossible to know that feeling of absolute exhaustion until it hits u. But it does pass. And Annika is getting cuter and cuter mashaAllah. God bless u all💖🙏🏼

Oh yeah I remember you! Congratulations for your admissions 🤩 that is so amazing! A few of my best friends are actually from Oulu originally. I have never visited there myself (so far) but it’s supposed to be a really nice city and I love Oulu people. I hope you have great times there ❤️ And yes, I’ve only spoken Finnish to Annika since the day she was born. It’s super important to me she learns it on a native level 😄 i totally understand how tough it can be to learn as a foreigner! Just one tip: don’t be afraid to use Finnish and speak to people in it. Even if you make mistakes, people are always really happy when someone tries to learn Finnish! We all know how difficult it is 😂

@@NICE9713 my skills are rusty, but yes i do still understand Swedish. It’s mandatory for all Finns to study it at school, as it’s our 2nd national language 😊

@@JohannaNorth for a foreigner, svenska sounds much easy, listened a few times to Sveriges radio finska.. it's a lot different language and been to Helsinki once. Almost all boards are in finska and svenska, that was helpful.
