In my opinion, "Reach For The Moon" is the most iconic, most Touhou-ish track that ZUN ever made... Plus, there's all the symbolism that goes into the track, the title of the track, and Mokou herself: The track has repeating sections, evoking the cycle of life, death and rebirth. The title invokes the conclusion of The Tale of The Bamboo Cutter, wherein the Emperor of Japan sends out his soldiers to burn the elixir of immortality along with a love letter for Kaguya on top of the back-then actively volcanic Mt. Fuji, hence explaining the "immortal smoke" that could always be seen reaching for the Moon back then... Mokou herself has so much symbolism put into her, you can write an essay about it. Her design includes a hime haircut, implying noble origins, and pedestrian clothes, signifying her loss of nobility, as well as the ribbons in her hair being based on the tail feathers of the phoenix. Her family name, "Fujiwara", both includes another shout-out to Mt. Fuji, (which was said to have gotten its name from the events of The Tale of The Bamboo Cutter: "Fushi" means "immortality",) as well as one of the noble clans central to the story: The Fujiwara... "Mokou", 妹紅, in the meantime, literally means "Scarlet Little Sister", calling back to the Extra Stage Boss of an earlier game, but can also be read as "Paint Me Red", calling to mind the brutality surrounding Mokou as a whole, and is homophonous with 喪凰, "Mourning Female Phoenix." One kanji in her name is also shared in the Japanese name for the Great Burnet (吾亦紅 Waremokou), a plant that's used to treat insect bites (the first boss in Imperishable Night is Wriggle Nightbug, a firefly youkai), stop bleeding, heal wounds, cure bloody dysentery, stop nosebleeds, and treat burns. It wasn't until Okina Matara that ZUN would put this amount of work into the symbolism behind a character again.

You could not have picked a better song to remaster to celebrate your 10th anniversary of making music, FalKKonE, Touhou songs go absolutely _perfectly_ with your style and this is one of the very best Touhou songs out there!! That whole decade of music experience definitely shows, too, your music just never fails to be absolutely phenomenal! And this cover is far from an exception, it somehow manages to be even more amazing than usual!! You did an absolutely *_incredible_* job on it!

This is a legendary cover FalKKonE has made. Sure FalKKonE has covered Immortal Smoke before. But what makes Immortal Smoke so legendary ESPECIALLY the fact its an anniversary track, is that it is the *FIRST* Touhou track FalKKonE has ever covered on the channel, WAY back 9 YEARS ago when FalKKonE was still a small creator. Even if it wasn't intense metal at the time. Immortal Smoke definitely deserves to be an anniversary track AND this absolutely BLAZING remix. I hope you won't ever stop making more covers for all the years to come, FalKKonE.
