I managed to buy this game from Martin in person which was a highlight for the year. The game is so much like the computer game and a really terrific experience. Thanks for covering the game with such clarity as I have had to learn from a translated rule book 🤓

Are you allowed to build more than one construction tile (for example one industry, then one harbour and then ships) in your turn or do you just build ONE type of those categories? Is it possible to overbuild ships?
The game is amazing. Kinda hard to pick up at first but latter it all starts to make sense. It was kinda long though. Hopefully next time we can make it faster.
Yes, it can get a bit long, especially for lower player count we found. Longer game when we played 2 players in general and shorter with 4 players. Hope you still enjoy it!
@@MeepleUniversity Actually it has become one of my favorites along with game of thrones. I cant say this is really objective though because I played only one game, but still. I love the Anno games on PC and the board game manages to capture the feeling of the PC games perfectly.
@@SkyLordPanglot Anno PC is great, me too I haven't played alot but yes I feel like it captures it well. I cannot see the board game beeing as complex as the PC, coz then it's to o much lol
@@MeepleUniversity Well the pc game with all the processes automated (compared to the board game) takes 4 - 5 hour for multiplayer game at best. If you play sandbox or the campaign it takes tens of hours.
Oh wow, I just read the English and the German rules and they differ! The German version clearly states that the industry has to be build over while the English one allows both industries to exist. Crazy.
