I recently found your channel and you’ve motivated me to declutter so much. I just removed over 4 HUNDRED items from my wardrobe And countless items from other parts of my home and finding more every day! I’ll do another clean out in 6 months! Love watching your videos! From Newfoundland, Canada!
Thankfully I learned to alter my own clothes in high school & since then. I’ve always been fascinated by how clothes are made. That’s been a huge blessing for me personally because like a lot of women, my body is NOT just one size! That’s a myth made by the clothing manufacturers. I’m large busted, long torso, & short legs. I have always carried most of my weight in my hips & thighs. Clothing is generally designed for an underdeveloped young woman who’s generally not the average weight as the average population that clothing is being bought by. So, thankfully I can make my wardrobe fit me better in clothing that I like, other than the uniforms that I wear at work that are geared towards a lot different body type than mine!
Ya Carla is back! I did a major Dr clutter project and gave 10 bags to a thrift store. I I felt the relief so immediately. Once again, start refilling in the other bag and hopefully will make another big trip by the end of the year 🎉♥️
Carla....watching you try on several hats, scarves, etc...dark colors and rich jewel tones (dark or vibrant versions of blue, purple, hunter green, burgundy) are definitely your colors. Pale / pastel versions of those same colors wash you out, and yellows, oranges clash a bit with your undertone (at least on screen). I agree, animal print in brown / black is also a winner!
Absolutely love this process you undertake regularly. Your clothes rack is one of my fave things about your place, and the neat little group of dresses and jumpers (sweaters). That capsule wardrobe is fabulous. I am at home a lot and struggle with the whole leisure wear/neat relaxed combo. I’m keen to see your investment in new leisurewear. I’m always motivated after watching your vlog ❤

Wrap dresses work great for me too. I am a size 4 on top and 8 on bottom, so it's hard to find dresses that fit the bust and have enough room in the hips. Wrap dresses just seem to work so well for this. ❤
Great video! I have to admit that it is surprising to me that you are still able to find stuff to de clutter in your home. However, sometimes you’re not ready to get rid of stuff on the first round and the next time you declutter you can let it go. I have become a mini hoarder but I still find your videos motivating and relatable. Give Sampson a little rub for me.
I'm glad you're ok, was concerned, hadn't seen anything from you in a couple of weeks. I love your closet, always have, it's so quirky but has character and charm. I like how it's laid out and has a window. I think a dresser would be a good addition to your room, a drawer for each category. If you changed out your hangers to the flat velour ones, it would save space in your hanging areas and clothes don't slip as much.
I have been keeping at it....its a never ending project to keep the wardrobe down to a dull roar...but since I quit work its been a bit more easy....I am a bigtime thrifter and I am built very much like yourself so when I find something at a thrift shop that fits I buy it - bad habit....LOL love your vids!

The red wrap dress would look good with a pair of jeans since it's above the knee. As for accessories do not keep what you do not love. The impractical bag could be used to display dried flowers and grasses or eucalyptus :) Make it a decorative piece instead of a handbag.
You did very well decluttering. I upgraded my daughter’s day wear with lounge pieces and sporting mom’s clothes from the Gap. You can shop online and there is always a sale.

Hi Carla, loved this video. Found it sad to see you toss these low cut items. I also had this problem and could solve it with a strech t-shirt bra that comes padded. Often however i'll take out the pads and put the bra over a well constructed laced bra to 'lift/close'' my clevige. Mine is soft pink from the brand Sloggi (really affordable) that matches my skin tone and i've worn it last week with a long emerald coloured tetra dress. Loved it!

Well done. Maybe add to your shopping list some sets of workout/hangout clothes that you LOVE, like you love your dresses and jumpsuits. Your voice is not enthusiastic about your workout/daily wear the way it is when you talk about your date night clothes, but there is cute stuff out there. You should love everything you wear. You are worth it.

It’s taken me over 2 years now and I still need to do one last very serious purge. I just packed another bag for donation now! Why am I hanging on to 20 pairs of tights from my days in the Midwest-US when I live in the desert now. Ugh.
I went through some items again yesterday and today and can’t believe how much more I still need to purge. I was feeling pretty good after my huge purge but I think I realized another huge purge is needed. Just filled 5 bags of donations and garbage.
So motivational. Honestly love your videos. My closet has been decluttered a thousand times and I so want to pair down to clothes I actually wear. You’re the best!

No shame, I think it’s good to keep things if that’s what you feel. I save things and often will be excited when I’m ready to come back to them, even if a couple years later sometimes! 💕 p.s. the impractical bag is adorable!!! Maybe put it on display with a little hook and put some beautiful dried or faux florals in it 😍.
I just started the top shelf stuff in my closet yesterday and already got rid of two small boxes. (Mostly “fantasy “ crafts I’ll never do) now on to the floor since I may be able to move it up onto the shelf. Always good to reevaluate your belongings. I like your idea of upgrading the stay at home wardrobe. Why can’t I wear cute but comfortable instead of stuff that is stained, has holes or just NOT flattering. Always good spending time with you 😉

With that red top that you tuck in, I'd give it a couple of saving stitches to stop that hole getting bigger. It looks like georgette, so hopefully you can do them loose so it doesn't pucker.
