Taxation should be progressive, I agree with the guest. VAT or sales tax is regressive which affects the poor and middle class the most. Filipinos should not be surprised if BBM does not understand the plight of the poor because he has never experienced it.

It will be difficult for the country to recover in a perspective overview as our country is not an exporting country except for ofw. And this is a challenge for this admin. A very fragile situation considering the debt and spending of the country. It will took time to recover. I saw from the beginning that Marcos Jr. is not truly well informed about economics and governance. First, his fear of big and heavy questions and avoidance of interviews. His body language when asked to explain what makes him different from other candidates. He always referred to his father's achievements, but not the biggest failure. He just smiles and looks around him as if saying "rescue me." His reliance on people around him to correct and explain his speeches and actions shows his very average intelligence.

This early, nakikita na natin ang isang negative trait or ugali ni Pres Marcos and that is, he seems to have difficulty accepting reality, sana people close to him such as his cabinet secretaries, his office staff, consultants, etc. should not insulate the President from harsh realities affecting the country and the Filipino people. Instead they should immediately institute measures to address the adverse effects of such negative developments.
The President has no intention in governing but more to clean his family’s dirty linens. No matter how good his cabinet secretaries are, if he just want to hear what he wants to hear, understand what is brain cell could only comprehend, they are all useless.
