Honest review and differences. The first season one sounds like a real demon king is portrait . Full of conceit and contempt you can actually hear it in his voice. Never takes thinks seriously and looks down on someone laughs at them and disrespects them. The new second season one is just always in a somewhat serious sense always serious no other emotions are reflected and it’s missing the contempt and conceit.

S1 for me, there's more emotions in Suzuki's voice imo whereas S2 is more of a serious toned depressing kinda voice

I was thinking why isit that I can’t seem to accept the new VA even though he has that deep voice that seems to fit a demon king.. after seeing the comments i get it now. That arrogance that sarcasm that unseriousness of his S1 va was what defined his character!! Which i came to love. I miss it alot…

I wish Tatsuhisa didn’t cheat on LiSA so he can continue his career for second season. The new voice is fine, its not in the same level as the old one, but its decent nonetheless.

Voice of Goblin Slayer and Cautious Hero. He should stick to such monotone characters imo. Bad casting by director's part. They should not have fired Mr Cheater if the replacement was going to be that unsuitable. Mr Monotone doesn't suit Anos at all and I dropped S2, 2 episodes in. As I was mostly watching for Anos. Sorry if this might sound insulting or aggressive but I assure you who is reading this that I am completely calm and just stating my personal opinion. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

@@ITSROCKY007 yeah ngl Mr Cheater is indeed a really good seiyuu. Mr Monotone is great too, but he has certain roles that he excels in, such as monotone roles like Goblin Slayer or Shinchou Yuusha. I know that i somewhat put the blame on the director for casting him but I think they might not have had many seiyuus who came to audition for the role and settled for the best they thought would fit the role. In other words, they didnt have many choices

This Season 2 Anos VA is one of the worst one I have heard in japanese dub anime. (Mostly its the cringe of English dub) And I'm a regular Season anime watcher.

I genuinely could not get into the second season because a large part of the anime for me was just the absolute arrogance of Anos Voldigoad. The new VA isn’t necessarily a bad VA, but just isn’t fit to be an arrogant always right demon lord who does not give any fucks. The new VA honestly fits more of a brooding character in some romance anime.

Honestly, the new voice doesn't bother me. Well, i have a bias since I love him as Goblin Slayer and Alhaitham from Genshin. Both voice actors are good though.

honestly that’s why i’m glad they picked him, their voices are way more similar then I thought it’d be - this situation really shows you the voice makes/breaks the character but it can also be fixed if done right still miss the old va tho

Itu mlempem namanya si Umehara, karakter suaranya terlalu padet, gw tau sebenernya Umehara bisa lebih baik, tapi yg di Anos ini lagi kureng, gerakan mulut ngga fit dengan vibe suaranya. I don't know maybe I'm biased because I love alhaitham but S2 anos sounds better, he probably sounds flat and more serious but the charisma is ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Edit: maybe because some fans already used to tatsuhisa's voice and it left a big impact so it's not easy to replace him with the new one

I understand that the 2nd season va sounds expressionless but for me it's funnier and more smugness? (Idk grammar) when he sounds that way. As if he doesn't need to put the effort to show his smugness which to me looks more impactful. At least to me, no need to agree it just my own taste.

Tatsuhisa Suzuki definitely brought out the chadness in Anos, but Umehara Yuuichiro brings out a more badass Anos. First one just had to go and cheat on one of Japan’s biggest idols.

New voice of Anos is so Bland. He needs to go Acting school. Season 1 Anos sound more smug, younger and more real. (One of the reason what made this anime unique, was his voice and personality). Season 2 Monotone voice is NOT suited for Anos. Horrible Voice Replacement. Bring back Suzuki.
