I actually like the number of stories Phil tells. I feel like he balances it perfectly - telling stories without bashing you over the head with, "I was a major leaguer". His content is great even without the stories.

I remember as you said riding to the gas station of corner pharmacy, to grab packs of Topps. 1975's were awesome. Heck ALL of the 70's have amazing icons. I also remember that "flooding" the market with Score, Donruss, Fleer, Fleer Ultra, Topps, Topps Stadium Club, Action Packed and more made the hobby a sea of insanity. Now they were produced in far greater numbers than these, BUT the amount of different types, the crazy high cost, and the outrageous variants, just make this seem too much. I'm NOT hating. I have loved this hobby since I was 5. But ANY box of cards for $25,000+ should be vintage. But hey to each his own. I do like to see what a $25,000 box looks like though.
