Well, I said September was a very intimidating TBR, but now here we are in October and I picked just as many books to read! But as always, the goal is to read at least 8 of those, and then anything else is just a plus for me!

Yes! I seem to be incapable of creating a reasonable TBR 😮😊 war and peace is just such a beast. Yay for the expanse! It is a nice pallet cleanser from some other books I am reading right now 🎉

War and Peace is just like an ongoing telenovela. Loved it. I just dnf'd This Other Eden. I was so interested in the topic, but I was just too confused and couldn't really get into it unfortunately. I loved Study for Obedience too!

I’ve just finished This Other Eden. It started well but got lost about a third of they way in. The end was disappointing. Prophets Song finally has an audio option. I loved it. The Bee Sting was brilliant. I have yet to read the rest. ☘️👋🍀📚📕☕️📖🇮🇪

I haven’t read The Fountainhead but have read other things by Ayn Rand back in high school. I don’t recall her books being very difficult but definitely philosophically opposite to a lot of my beliefs haha. Learning more about her impact on far-right and libertarian politics as an adult is enlightening and I will be interested to see what you think of the book and also how it was used in Ted Lasso because her philosophy seems pretty opposite to the philosophy of that show too

Yeah, that's what I've heard, maybe that's part of the intimidation and I think also because I tried to read it in the past and never made it past like 50 pages lol but that was over 10 years ago at this point, so hopefully I've gotten better at reading comprehension 😂

That's some real restraint haha I have a sneaking suspicion that one I get to within 200 pages of the end, I'm not going to want to take it slow because I love crossing off a big book too much 😂

Too late we are to get our angelhood. It makes me think our humanhood’s enough. No sunbeam sword our shoulders ever took, though goosebumps claim one singed our feathers off. We skid into the Roman theatron, and see it’s empty as we catch our breaths. The angels meant to knight us all are gone where limestone seats aren’t finished cooling yet. Why not stampede this empty stadium? with open arms the wings we’re born to use. Our faces feel the sunset’s radiance; a grounded species Earth’s afraid to lose. Too late to rituals, we lived instead, and find the proof of angels in our friends.
