Well done 😊 I have seen that same issue and while I haven’t done it I know some folks have wrapped dental floss where you put the elastic. Elastics make me leery because as you mention they could break at some point. A silicone or rubber washer/o-ring sounds like a good fix. Thanks for letting us watch, I always learn something new from your videos 🙂
This is exactly the problem I think I was having! I don't think it was my eye chips(since they are the ones that come with the doll) but I think it was that plastic thingy! Thank you so much! I will try the rubber band method when I get home later!
you didn't have to do that.(remove the chips) You could have scraped down the inside of the lid - making the lids thinner. I use scalpels . Instead of a ruberband I use a heavy cobblers thread - won't break. The lashes go inside the head because the right eye is not only cut larger but the bracket that hold the eyes are not set right. Most knockoffs have that problem. But I have seen people get "official release" dolls with the same problem.
