As a senior staff trainer, I had the privilege of training Rwandan officers in peacekeeping operations at Camp Gako in Kigali. As a contract trainer in Africa for the last 14 years, Rwandan troops are probably one of the most professional groups of military members I've ever seen. RDF battalions have distinguished themselves in Darfur and other locales where the UN has called on them to act with discipline, efficiency, and professionalism. What an impressive commissioning ceremony! Good luck to this latest group of young lieutenants in their careers!

What Rwanda has accomplished in 30 years is astonishing. its mind boggling to see the clean, efficient, organized, and downright happy citizens bursting with pride in what they have accomplished, its very inspiring. Paul Kagames leadership and vision for the country has been seen thru, hes got the patience of job and the wisdom of Solomon it seems lol, i know he has a lot of detractors saying hes made himself de facto ruler of the nation....well not saying he is but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and just observe the country and his work ethic, does he sleep? im sure he does but as long as hes at the helm Rwanda will be moving forward. If i lived in africa and could vote he would have mine for african union president.

Thanks to His Excellency President Paul Kagame's heroic efforts and objectives, the country has risen from the ashes, and it is developing in all aspects outstandingly well. True Leaders are born, but puppets are produced. Nobody can underrate the brainpower of African people, Rwanda is the conclusive proof of what they can achieve by themselves.

Watching from Jamaica: We recently hosted the president of Rwanda on a state visit because we in Jamaica truly love this man and the people of Rwanda. We greatly admire the awesome first-world style innovations that Rwanda has shown to the world, in its economy, culture, and in its overall development - as is exemplified by the superb unsurpassed discipline of this parade. We do have some trepidations concerning the succession of Paul Kagame however, for up now we haven’t seen anyone put forward that is guaranteed to carry on his innovative visions for this great nation, if and when he retires.

That was the best military parade I have seen, I would personally shake the hand of the officer who trained these officer these are one of the few moments that make me proud to an African and to know that somewhere in African excellence still exist.
