@@WilMakGamerDad Crit damage doesn't actually have a cap, despite that making sense. Crit damage not only does not have a cap (Therefore, you can stack it indefinitely with no real drawback) but also does NOT get affected by diminishing returns. Makes the buff a little broken, but it always has been. Why is there no cap or diminshing returns? Think of stills like Ewans "Sign: Roaring Bash" (Or any other zone varient) or Violets "Sword Dance". Both skills have built in crit damage, not as a buff, but built in (100% for Ewan, 200% for Violet, already past the standard cap), so I can only assume wfs was trying to make sure you could still get crit damage buffs with built in crit damage, and so Violet's crit damage buff has the 200% over a 100%, which without the 200%, makes it significantly weaker.
@@mpgannihilator that’s awesome news! I never heard that crit damage boost had a cap so I assumed it didn’t. Only when brought up, I questioned it. Glad you clarified it 😄
Reminds me of those Pokémon battles when an egg-carrying mother with the right set-up can outstall literal gods. Or when the undead bug shell became a hard counter to Pokémon's ocean god.
@@sarahtelles1957 Yes, and with ocean god I meant Kyogre. I just wanted to keep the comparison simple and understandable for players who don't engage in competitive Pokémon.
This is kinda cool! Well done gamer dad! I’m finally getting back into grinding myself so i can start trying to beat the crap out of those dual hachiyo fights that are beating my butt
@@WilMakGamerDad well, i just slaughtered the protection demon one, and got the void bow. I only had NS Hisu for damage, but man she did good! (AS Yuna was support MVP, for me not getting killed)
This is the video I needed. Started playing when the game came out and ended up quitting until recently because life got in the way. Couldn't figure out why everything was so damn hard. Good to know there's some reference material to help me out.
You’re welcome! Welcome back to AE, and I would say that getting enough grasta (and of course some of the right units) will make things easier. Check out the grasta videos in the Back to Basics playlist if you need more info.
I think a damage calculation video would be SUPER helpful. After playing for a year and a half, I still can't make more than basic heads or tails of how damage is calculated
There’s a complex math formula for all damage calculations on the AE wiki. For myself, I don’t use exact calculations, I just try to stack a good number of buffs/debuffs and see if it kills (or mitigates enough damage). I think the AE Discord has people much better at that than I am
Hey Wil, just wondering how many Rose with Thorns, Last Stand and Bull's Eye ore do you have? Considering most videos require grasta upgraded with a combination of those, not sure if there is a "go-to" for how many of those you need to have at least. Currently I'm still farming FGAD because i only have a handful of Rose with Thorns & Last Stand even after a few months. (The AE discord recommended farming FGAD > UAD if lacking in those ores). Any advice when to move on to UAD?
I think I have 12-15 of each, and one is equipped on each pain grasta weapon type so that I don’t have to revert them. I just move the grasta around my units depending on who I’m using.
Among all of them, I only have Pizzica. I only have AS Nagi and NS Melina, which needs to grind for their codex to get their ES form. Might eventually get them a few decades later lol XD Alright, back to the topic, Thanks to Pizzica, I'm able to finished the story, until the lastest chapter with mostly use free units and low-mid tier grasta/equipment.
its not really that hard if u keep at it just remember hard maps require only 120+ light (which u want for aldo anw) that said it will be awhile before i can get the fifth tier for garulea continent too ahaha
i mean, if you have all those op support characters, you wont have any trouble beating super bosses right XD the main reason this works is due to the support chaaracters not the grastas, and they are not accessible to everyone
@@WilMakGamerDad 2 years already XD i am f2p so i kinda expected that. I am in early endgame, already finished all the stories and episodes. Hope i can take on the 16 bosses(forgot their names) after farming enuf grastas
So in brief summary, I can use this strategy if I have characters that can apply buffs to the entire team, or at least the frontline, right? Will this work as well if I have characters that applies debuffs to the enemy instead of buffs to my team?
Yes you can use a combination of debuffs on the enemy plus buffs on your frontline team. The more, the better! Of course Melissa is the engine in this team but you can use the same strategies for turn 2 AF’s or just in general to do more DPS.
Check my Back to Basics video on grasta 2.8.500, it explains it. However, short answer is grasta ore available after you unlock Future Garulea dungeons
