there already was a champions league in place but it cudnt garner much audience probably because it confused them. in football there are contracts between a player and team for throughout the year. in cricket the season is not the entire year its just few months so same players can play in different leagues and hence the idea of a champion team is somewhat confusing. but eventually the idea wud grow to become a peactice. but not yet. first cricket needs to be included i. olympics amd then grow in small pockets of the world where it can garner audiences like nepal, afghanistan, kenya , south america, usa. they all need to have a good cricketing system

Football ain't about that it's clubs not leagues. But even with that the world cup is still the most important competition. Clubs sign buy players from every other league. It is a well organized system. Unlike us cricket fans who can't even figure out what way we want to play the sport.
