Not only this music is absolutely fantastic, deep and complex...the entire album was written in 5 days. Insane.

Almost. Neal had demos for the 2 large epic tracks and the band worked on them. Still quite the accomplishment, though!

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. I've been talking about the Transatlantic epics in your comments section for awhile, and I'm glad you have finally relented and listened to one (the best one, imo), because while Transatlantic's shorter pieces are great, it's impossible to get a sense of what this band has truly accomplished without listening to their epics, and in particular, their epics off of _Bridge Across Forever_ and _SMPT:e._ These 3 songs blew people's minds back in the early 00's, and they continue to do so today.

I love prog songs with sections. It’s very reminiscent of the symphonies of the great composers with their various “movements.” It only works when you have good transitions, which they nail here. Genesis and Yes were also very good at the transitions. I enjoyed listening to this with you.

Can't miss with this band. Great tunes, amazing epic's. Highly recommend The Great Nothing by Spock's Beard. Another amazing Morse epic. Looking forward to the OPH live stream classics sesh. Still recommend Wobbler Dwellers of the Deep. An IQ revisit as well. Recommend Nostalgia/Falling Apart at the Seams or Werunsh. Big thanks for this one! 😎

Wow, Thank you! I still had to listen to that song for the lenght, but it's wonderful!! I suggest you a swedish prog band, Beardfish. "Hold On" is a fantastic song, you'd love it, with changes, great rithmic and various different parts!

Now you've gone & done it,Tom...opened up the can of worms. LOL This one very well COULD make your top 10 list. But...knowing all this killer material that Neal's been involved with the past 20 some years, there is a strong chance it might NOT make your top 10,too. That's how effin' fantastic all of Neal's work is. Here are some other epics, now that you've opened up the floodgates... Alive Again (NMB), The Great Nothing (Spock's Beard), Seeds Of Gold (Morse solo), Beyond The Years (NMB), World Without End (Morse solo), So Many Roads (Morse solo), and of course the other Transatlantic epics. Neal's Spock's Beard material is mainly shorter songs, but there are 2-3 other epics sprinkled throughout the early albums, too. It's all great, bro ...Cheers, T

This was incredible! The Whirlwind album from 2009 is my favorite and even though it’s one song, it’s broken into individual songs so you can have shorter videos. Transatlantic’s music is so special. Thx so much!

Great reaction, love this deep dive into the Neal and Mike collection…so much content these two have provided for the prog community! One song I don’t see many (if any) reactions to is the song “Seeds of Gold” off of Neal’s Testimony 2 album. Would love to see you check out that track one day.

Now you talk ! Now you can really enjoy Transatlantic for what they are really good at, long epic songs. Super reaction, so funny to see your smiles while listening to the progressions. It remembers me when I discovered them 20 years ago. Gives me goosebumps lol. I saw them 3 times live and let me tell you I call that an experience. On the same album, the last song « Stranger In Your Soul » is another 30-minutes (ish) epic, starting with exactly same violin melody in the first 15-20 seconds, but leading to a completely different song, as good as Duel With The Devil imo. Thank you to share those moments with you.

Stranger In Your Soul would be a great one live! I'll say the 2010 version
