Hi, Kay! We were stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. So many wonderful memories!! What was it like during the pandemic? We’re now in FL after 17 years in Great Lakes, where were transferred with the Navy after 3+ yrs in Japan! Retired there after 2 yrs but ended up staying for no particular reason other than we enjoyed the people and the area, Zion, IL!☺️

Oh the pandemic here was absolutely horrific😭It gets better and then gets far worse and it seems to never end. We're finally starting to go out without wearing masks (I still do because I have asthma😭)I'm so glad you had a great time here🥰🙏❤️❤️❤️Did you get to see a lot of jewelry here? We use to go to a thrift store called The Dragonfly” in Iwakuni and also twice a year there were what was called “Gomie Day” where the Japanese people threw out all old stuff they didn’t want and we made out like BANDITS with the fabulous finds! Where are you living? Looking forward to more communication! We lived about 30 min from Hiroshima. Loved the people and the culture. I believe there is Friendship Day coming up April 15 at MCAS Iwakuni. The base opens up to the Japanese people and it’s amazing fun. They have an Asian market, HUGE, with all kinds of goodies from different Asian countries. We purchased many items there, too! If the flight wasn’t so difficult we might consider going back for a visit!! 🙏🥰⛩️👘🎎🎏🎊

I’ve shopped periodically on WhatNot and don’t mind the shipping costs, when within reason! I say that because I purchased a children’s book once, which should have shipped as/at PRINT fees, but instead I paid $9.00 shipping for a $3.00 book!! And, YES, I did complain when asked by WN to write a review and make suggestions for ways to improve. When are your sales? I may stop in to visit! I’ll add your email to my phone book!
