Maybe so but my experience of NV you can get a lot of IR bounce back from long vegetation. You do get better target recognition with NV though. I have put sizeable holes in foxes before and they've ran on considerable distances despite being hit in the engine room.
@@foxer159 Fair point, lights went out pretty sharpish as they say. Personally if I were using that scope I’d be worried about ID (especially in an area where there are houses, so cats and dogs). Would like to see a fox sized dog at that range through the scope just to put my mind at ease if it were me using it. I’m sure through scope rather than video you can tell. Cats and dogs don’t move like a fox either, or respond to squeaks in the same way. I’m sure you know your stuff, I’m not having a dig.
