Peugeot 2008 in a nutshell, 3 cylinder, turbo charged 1.2 engine on a hugh suv body makes it rattle at high revs which raises concerns for engine health, high cost maintenance because of turbo, small engine Heats Very quick, not recommended for longer journeys. Spark plugs decay on just 7000 Kms... Not worthy engine and car in a Market like Pakistan.

Pl correct your numbers Toyota grande has 174Nm of torque and not 130. Moreso in case of Peugeot torque of 230Nm is not produced by gearbox but by its engine..
Why don't you liaise with some TV channels such as ARY, Hum or Bol so that you could launch a proper TV series. Not only review the cars but include some educational car knowledge and tips just like you did at the end of this video. And really don't worry about getting influenced by BBC Top Gear. Pakistani people really need something like this on the proper telly. Even PTV is a good platform from getting funded though.
Why don't tell us about it's performance in Pakistan's rain, as moon soon is just around the corner, Trust me, it's not good.. A 2008 customer was quite furious about it, as his car's engine was totalled and Peugeot Pakistan quoted him almost 5 million to fix it, interestingly, they made an announcement on their social media to get their car serviced for "moonsoon madness" ..

one video of pakgear certainly eats up 5 "expert reviews" of pakwheels. as pakwheels has evolved now, its hard to see that expert factor despite of suneel sir's knowledge ,their focus is much on useless content rather fruitfull knowledge.
DON'T buy this car. It has a wet timing belt design which disintegrates in the oil and clogs up oil strainers/filters. That will lead to engine failure.

Since Peugeot Pakistan refuses to answer my queries, maybe you, @pakgear can ask them. I would like to know if Peugeot Pakistan and esp their dealers are aware of the wet belt issue that plagues the puretech engine used in 2008. Why don't they have a clear statement on the issue and that their dealerships are ready to assist users and potential buyers and ally their concerns. Some of the dealership don't even know that the engine is belt, not chain driven and that it needs to examined every visit with a special tool. Hopefully you'll be able to get a reply
