There's a comic book trilogy called "Pinnochio: Vampire Slayer" and it is unironically good - and yes, Pinnochio does tell obvious lies to grow his nose, break it off, then stab vampires with it, but it actually had some interesting and unique vampire lore and it begins each comic with a simplified retelling of the original story, bc they cite obscure details from it that weren't in the Disney version
