Omg! Thank for sharing that non-Christian/religious perspective. I feel a bit alone watching most mom RU-vidrs (and don’t get me wrong I love them and LOVE Milena) but they always speak from that point of view and although I agree with many of the moral conducts they follow I don’t relate to the religious aspect of it. It’s nice to see someone that views those things kind of the same as me in which they may agree with the ideas but don’t necessarily speak of them just in a religious context. 💕

Your talk at the end of the video was sooo relatable. I’m not religious either and don’t plan on changing my ways. But I’m drawn to the mentality of being better to your husband. Hey Kilean! Flower farmer here ✨ tulips last longer if you poke a very tone hole with a pin right below the flower on the stem! Tulips have the shortest vase life, so this helps maintain those blooms! 🥰

I’d love to hear a podcast episode about this! I’m curious what your thoughts are on like reaching out to a friend or confidant as someone to talk to and help you flush out your feelings on a martial issue so you’re not bottling it up but also not ready or sure how to speak to your husband about whatever the issue is. Definitely not like ranting or talking to someone who’s gonna say f- that guy! But just another support person with an outside perspective if that makes sense. I definitely don’t like to rant or bash my partner to my friends or family because at the end of the day I love him and don’t wanna leave a sour taste in their mouth but I do feel like having someone who is level headed to talk to really helps

In NYC we have 3K programs that are separate and also within the public schools. My daughter will start when she is still 2 since her birthday is 2.5 months into the school year. Its still crazy to me.

I can definitely relate to the husband talk. I am not religious at all- I’d say more agnostic like I don’t put pressure on myself to know the meaning of life but I do choose to lead a more traditional life. I am also obsessed with my husband and it’s taken us time to perfect divvying up our loads but we get better at it all the time and he is always trying to be better for me I’m always trying to be better for him. The man I married is thoughtful, the best dad and I’d never question his love for me because he shows me everyday I am the most important thing to him. So I’ve also been trying to be more gracious, less critical, etc. I think the criticism I was projecting onto him, I.e not doing enough, was reflective of the self criticism I’ve been giving myself for years. My house isn’t clean enough, I don’t do enough, my role as a mom isn’t enough unless I way over extend myself, etc. that realization has led to me realizing that my house does need to be clean, livable, but it doesn’t have to look like a magazine. Rambling for no reason but I did want to chime in and say I relate a lot to being non religious but also living a pretty traditional life and also to wanting to glorify my husband as he does for me. He is my biggest hype man and soulmate.

Non-religious mom here. I definitely feel like you should treat people the way you want to be treated. Enjoy watching other people who value faith in Christianity but I also acknowledge I don’t have to be a Christian to treat people well.

Beautiful video Kilean. I was also super inspired by Milena's video when she posted it. It is countercultural to respect husbands and to not "grumble". I remember when my husband asked my dad's permission to marry me the advice my dad gave him was, "Never speak negatively about your spouse. If you are upset about something discuss it with your spouse. It is easier for you to forgive your spouse and see them in a positive light after them hurting you because you are in love with them. But when a friend or outside person hears your talk negatively about your loved one they will forever have a tainted view of them because they don't have the same grace for you spouse that you do." Also, on another note, if you get flack for saying that, it is just because it is striking a cord with people/ making them think. Sometimes people react harshly when they are uncomfortable and forced to think about things in a new light. Goodness, forgiveness, and grace with each other always is right. If someone thinks otherwise, they are just working through something out of your control.
