@@miloszruczynski1230 That's the thing. Busy adults don't have time to bother making up their Pronouns. Real life has real problems, like homeless, inflation, housing crisis, middle class disappearing, people not being able to retire Find a hobby or a life...😢
Funny story I actually misgendered my pet lizard, because I gave her the name Goku before she was old enough to determine gender. Now that I know I just call her Girlku 😂
MLK jr is rolling in his grave at this crap. That man fought so hard to end segregation only for people to want to bring it back with interest 60 years later...
i have bipolar and ocd and if my therapist reaffirmed all my bad decisions i’d be gone lmao just because your therapist doesn’t agree with everything you do, it doesn’t mean they’re not showing support!!!!!
Yes! If my therapist had reaffirmed all of my bad thoughts about myself I don't know how I would have got to the better version of myself that I am today. The whole point of therapy is to work through YOUR issues and learn to evolve, not to surrender to your delusions. 🙄
@@illyGalSloth yes, 100%!!! if someone really cares about your progress and wellbeing, they’ll tell you you’re on a destructive path. and :,) thank you so much for your kind words 💛 have an amazing day
i’m a behavioral therapist. i would never judge my clients. however, i refuse to reinforce their negative behaviors. that’d be dishonorable of myself, as i wouldn’t be furthering their success.
a good therapist is supposed to challenge your views if they are unbalanced regarding yourself or the world...a good therapist doesn't affirm affirm affirm...that is not helpful
I'm a therapist and have a hard time believing this "Folx therapist" has a license. I'm a CBT therapist... that is one evidence based method to help people fix their problems. "Folx" therapy is laughably, "not a thing," as you said, Amala!
In my personal opinion it's all one big giant scam. Just stupid people creating things that aren't even real so they can feel important and try to force their beliefs on other people that don't understand it. It's somewhere down the line it will magically become important or just get push somewhere in the society. It's all one giant big plot to get people's money
@@sarabyrd3374 CBT stands for cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT is a subtype/offshoot of that. So if that didn't help, CBT probably won't either. Psychoanalysis is your best bet for personality disorders; the effectiveness of therapy will be directly proportional to how much work you(!) put in (so yes, find a therapy style that works for you in that regard!); don't fall for anything that sounds like a miracle. And do stay away from the folx people ;)
Maybe if NASA wasn't focused on DEI and instead quality of their equipment, we wouldn't have a couple astronauts stranded on the ISS until February when Space X can bring them home.
@@nikkipage6919 DEI is an acronym which stands for "Diversity, Equity (different from equality btw), and Inclusion". I had to look it up because I've never heard the acronym before either
If I was separate by race when we were in school I would have got the message we were different. Which happens to be the exact opposite I was taught at home
“Of course I know you did That thing you said you weren’t gonna do… and I support you anyway.” …That sounds like enabling… and that’s not always a good thing.
As a therapist, it can truly hurt people when you blindly accept and affirm everything a person has done and thinks. You have to find the areas that are causing distress in a person and help them figure out how to overcome it. You can't just listen to people and say "why are you upset, I accept you as you are." You can accept someone as they are as far as personally, but if they're wanting a therapist, then something is wrong, and it's a therapist's job to help the person overcome that which is mentally harming them.
12:47 I agree. I know if I was an astronaut. *Perfection* in my engineering colleagues wouldn't be priority with my arse sitting ON 10,000+ POUNDS OF ROCKET FUEL!
Gender is a term that came about because the term "sex" was impolite. They are the same. Plus pronouns are used when that person is not around generally. So you never know what pronouns are used for you
The best thing for any child regardless of race is to avoid any organization founded by Margaret Sanger. Just imagine where the black community would be without her.
PP and LBJ have done more harm to society at large and black demographic specifically than anything else in the last 60 years. In some areas the abortion rate is higher than the birth rate.
I am a constitutional activist and this is one reason people need to know their rights. Arresting people for speech is against the first amendment of the United States they’ve already put a law in Michigan and it will stay on the books unless somebody gets arrested and rides it out ….or somebody sues the state….. free speech is so important and they do not teach your rights to you in school very few schools (if any) do.
What's wrong with just using the word folks? It already includes everyone and doesn’t specify gender. Oh, it doesn’t apear inclusive, while actually being exclusive. Makes sence. Bringing everyone closer together by pushing them further apart.
The Purple Hair Jabba the Hut talking about its workspace. All I can think is it must be nice to have that kind of protection and job security. If I went to work and was like "Jee Bo Jabba. Ho Ho Ho" like that person, I would be laughed out of my job.
6:49 Mkay, you wanna know the most common thing I have heard people say they wanna do? *Harm themselves* Or worse! So yeah, glad you support that. You're a terrible therapist! 😁😁😄
I dont transit through my day perseverating on race, gender, or any other markers these people discuss. I usually take people at face value. I don't recite useless platitudes and I won't participate in this new religion seemingly sweeping the faux online community. I don't feel the need to trade away my morals in exchange for affirmation from those around me. *_TRUST !!_*
The NASA clip is straight out of China's Struggle Sessions during the Cultural Revolution. Those who cannot learn from the past ... "In the People's Republic of China, self-criticism-called ziwo pipan (自我批判) or jiǎntǎo (检讨)-is an important part of Maoist practice. Mandatory self-criticism as a part of political rehabilitation common under Mao and ended by Deng Xiaoping, is known as a struggle session in reference to class struggle."
As far as the NASA lady, I have a background in HR. Internally, there is marginalizing that happens with employees and job candidates. It happens on MANY levels. (Sex, race, religion AND sexuality). I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
That dude in the first clip...I called him a "him" three times to describe him to my husband. "I will not be addressed any other way." Get tf outta here with that. I'll describe you how I want based on what my own senses tell me.
As an Autistic Parent and Adult, i crave the Era of Centralism. I dont want a padded world or People who constantly "support" me emotionally, but i also dont need people denying/rejecting the Factual Reality of my behavioral differences and telling me i just need to "work harder".
I'm so tired of the letter X, I see it everywhere Latinx Mx Now Folx? Why couldn't they have just stuck to folks? The first two make some sort of sense, but this one doesn't. If someone takes an edible and goes straight to sleep then that's kind of a waste, they take a bit to kick in.
Regarding the white supremacy culture thing: how can the culture be a perfectionist AND prioritise quantity over quality? Surely these to things are at complete odds to each other or am I just not white enough to understand?
When are people going to wake up and realize that the color of your skin should never be a factor? IMO, it the character of a person that matters............who you are as a person. I was raised to treat everyone with respect...........until they give me a reason not to.
I would say a university degree is more a prerequisite for teaching kids history... not skin colour. Lol. 😅 History is unbiased. History is a list of facts. There's also SPECIFIC college classes aimed at African Studies. You'll find every race of student in those classrooms. Lol. For instance, I took African Studies as an elective (I'm white) and our professor was a Latino from Dominican Republic but spoke fluent Swahili. Lol. He was a Historian who specified in African Studies. Bottom line: Yes. People teach black (specifically African) history. Just like others teach Asian history and others teach European history. And yes. Those people aren't always black. And yes. Classrooms can be mixed. And yes. It's good to analyze history through multiple perspectives.
Mocking sexual assault is never acceptable under any circumstances. The rest of Ms Handler's video was silly and rather dull but that part was reprehensible.
If my therapist agreed with everything I said I wouldn’t be here to type this comment, I can see therapists like that lady in the video are going to do much more harm than good
Chelsea Handler is so completely unfunny. When people claim that women aren't funny, Chelsea Handler is the type of woman who feeds into that stereotype.
I was waiting for the moment where they start to ask pronouns of their animals. Isn’t it funny that they will assume the genders of their pets? Who are they to take away the freedom of their cat to say they are zir zim? The cat might be dog dog self
Woke ideology is believing in nonsense and forcing your views on everyone else. Don't forget to dismissed women rights. Because what Trans women want is more important...😢
You're giving those therapists too much credit.they're 100% trying to capitalize on a corner of the market.and just like doctors dont make money off the healthy but off the sick, same
