One time in kindergarten or 1st grade, we took a field trip here since my school was in Barstow. They had thrown some rocks out in the desert lot behind them and made us look for rocks. I found some super cool pieces of jasper and petrified wood. They are still my favorite pieces today.
this stuff is incredible I gotta go out there. I'm in san Fernando valley and if I ever head out that way I will load up. Gotta get the tools first too. yeah man, Im on the office grind. dont ever stop carving stone. it is great and therapeutic. only thing better than carving is being in nature and getting it.
You are an artist. Your art is valid & there is a market for it. I’m in BC, Canada & once I move houses, I plan to get back into my personal lapidary journey. Much love , stay true to you! 🖤
I’m buying an 8” cab king, planning on filling the arbors up with DP diamond wheels and nova wheels. I’ll be using the cab king wheels until I can save enough to change over all at once.
Had to pause to check out Orgonite. I learn new stuffs from you so much. I like Orgonite, it's very cool. I'm from Ontario Canada so this is Alien to me. Hard to actually know what you're saying so i have to guess did he say, "Morganite"? Funny, the Caption said "Protonite". Had no idea that existed too! It is Orgonite right? At 19:20? It had Bubble Gum Pink in the stone.
Hi Dave I think you should come to Colorado and do a video in Canyon City Colorado at the rock shop there. My Uncle owned property in Cotopaxi and I have several 10 to 20 pound gems that I found on his property. I have a piece that the outside is purple has some purple droosy on the outside and some clear droosy on the outside. The skin is partially purple and partially like Is very light Brown kind of creamy.... Do I have to cut that rock open to completely identify it.?? I wish I could post a picture here so you could identify it for me hahaha. I have a huge piece of rose quartz. And I think I also have a 10 pound Jasper. These rocks have been in my yard now for several years. I would love to identify them. Love your videos!!!! Is there such a thing called lapidary school Is there such a thing called lapridory school? Pardon my spelling! I'm a rock hound not scholar🤣 Thanks again Dave!
I love Howlite! It's not just for faking turquoise. I love the way it is naturally. It's my 2023 stone. I hate that (to some folks) it's only seen as valuable if it can fool people into thinking they are getting turquoise.
The pink rhodonite does not need to be stabilized and when it comes to the oxidation it’s usually when it’s left outside for a long time sometimes years if you have it away from contamination a good piece of jewelry should last a lifetime
Are They all a gem stone ?if your answer is ,yes .that means its not some kind of expensive things ,because so much things on my country avelaiable any Where .

I thought she was sucky was the appreciation of a stone's natural beauty and then yes there is a platform made of wood that's supposed to fit the stone perfectly or you can have it sitting in a wooden tray with say sand that's perfectly flat.
Hello Dave all,ow me to introduce myself, my name is Jay. Im planning to go to quartzite this January as a seller. First time for me, in your opinion what show would you say is better for selling?
What is the 5th rock, the one after you dumped water on one? Sorry lol I have some wondering what it is. I need to move. Dont really care for the CA govt thoh.
You did not explain about which stone is dimond Which one is another species so You hides everything Try to be honest to show or teach if you stand to teach.
