@@leesslotcars I used to go to the Wonderland Raceway, in Southend/Westcliff-on-Sea, back in the height of slot cars, taking part in 6, 12, and 24-hour races. Until they banned my invention. The only car to have ever won a 24-hour race using just one Crown gear.

@@leesslotcars Right up until we were banned from using the "Sealed, Oil-filled Gearbox". Ran 24-hours on one crown gear, where we used to change rear axles complete every hour. It didn't leak, was a heavier chassis than most of the 1/24th, but made up for it, by only having to change rear tyres every 90 minutes. 1/32nd is still my favourite, and I still have Lexan-bodied, models of Bruce McLarens M7A F1 car, and the M6A CanAm car. A superb MRRC chassis in the M7A, and it is a BBB, (big back boots)!!
