Another Windy Night on Dartmoor. This time on Hare Tor.

What is it with Dartmoor and the wind getting up overnight? We had a great walk up Tavy Cleave and across to Hare Tor for the night, but after we'd pitched the Durston Xmid 2P the wind increased until we were getting 39mph gusts. Still a good trip though, Linda's last one of the year.

In a couple of years I retire. When I daydream about what I will do immediately I think of your videos. It looks bliss. I will go whenever I want and explore new places. ATB

I hope that bloke got off the island crossing the river. Lovely landscape Roger, wide open spaces, and gritstone (is it?) Love watching the companionship between you two. It's a great thing to share a tent with your partner & best friend. Jeez! that wind....

He did walk up and down a couple of times not sure of the best way off! Dartmoor is apparently a "granite intrusion into the underlying sedimentary rocks". - according to tinternet. Same granite as Bodmin Moor and the Scilly Isles. Who knew!🤣🤣🤣 ATB, Roger

Thanks. I really like the Durston tents we have and feel very comfortable in them. The pegs supplied aren't great so we use 9inch Eastons to nail the corners down. but other than that no I've no issues with them.
