Eddie, thank you for reuploading this "Another World" full episode! :-) The Cory and Frame families went through so many tragedies throughout the years, but they always had each other to lean on for support.
Carl was so much better looking here than later when he looked like a vagabond. Hate that they paired him with Rachel after her years with a man of integrity and dignity.
She was paired with a lot of men over the years. I mean, she left Mac for Mitch, who was involved in a murder plot against Mac, involving Janice Frame, which nearly led to her death. Mitch showed a bit of conscience, and he was hot, and a few months later, they were an item. Rachel's taste in men varied a lot, and she did some pretty horrible things back in the early days, stealing Alice's husband--which she did again later, when Steve returned from the dead. And having said all that---yeah. Carl Hutchins as The Final Guy makes no sense on any level. I mean, for the ponytail alone. But that's daytime drama. There is no longterm continuity. Characters perform whatever job the writers need them to--heroine, villainess, comic relief, and if they get old enough, reliable boring advisors to the young, whose wisdom is rarely heeded. Ada was one of the best of that final type--and hardly ever had a storyline of her own. Her storyline was reacting to other people's storylines. The show went off the rails quite a few years before it ended. I don't know if it was Cass having an evil twin, or him choosing Frankie over Kathleen. Which he only did because the actress playing Kathleen was leaving again. It's not a form that can afford to be consistent.
