Most of what I believe is the Feb. 21/85 episode. Characters: Ben, Vince, Nancy, MJ, Maisie, Kathleen, Marley, Cass, Rachel, Carl, Carter, Jamie, Mac, Peter, Jake, Dee, Donna.
Thanks. I miss AW so much. I love that cliffhanger. Smart and crisp writing. Rachel was so strong in these years. And the understated goodbye to Ben (a character who would for some reason cease to exist after this). Ellen Wheeler's wonderful work as Marley. And Cass/Kathleen, one of my favorite soap pairings ever.
I always think back to the character Ben, which I liked the actor, Richard Steen, which you never heard from after AW as well as the Ben character that 3 future soap actors auditioned and they lost....and that was Grant Show, Jon Hensley and Todd McKee
Kevin, I so agree about missing David Oliver and his portrayal of Perry Hutchins. David passed far too soon from those dreaded days of HIV/AIDS where treatment was not effective, and patients were given basically a death sentence. :-(
@@nightowlchadHi Chad - how cool that you were able to have a pen pal relationship with David. Had I been a bit older I would have made more of an effort to get to know him through a mutual friend of ours. I really regret not doing it at the time. He was one of a kind and very much missed.
I had no idea this story arc with Rachael & Carl happened / existed. Interesting....seeing how they ended up together, years later. Thanks for the upload.
Mac should have known something was wrong with the Stepford Wife-like way Rachel was talking at the beginning. And then when Mac mentioned how Amanda was having trouble sleeping and Rachel was IMMEDIATELY herself, again another clue.
I cant help it....i loved when Carl changed into a good guy and fell in love with Rachel. Much to my surprise, he was a supportive husband. Only in the world of soap operas.
Yes he took her away but he still didn’t treated her badly as I said before Carl was more of an intimidator I think this is where Carl falls in love with her.
Carl & Rachel before Carl & Rachel! They were so good together! I love the sexual tension between the two. In 1997 Carl says to Rachel, "Oh how I love to see you all tied up" . . .
