I see Magos Dominus Faustinius has contributed the records from the expedition to Silva Tenebris to this log entry, indeed it is a most excellent addition.
You mean how lethal their armories SHOULD be. None of the lesser races should be able to challenge the Necrons. They have been around for MILLIONS of years, and they beat the gods. A Necro pistol should have a greater punch than a Baneblade.
The Great Awakening is JUST STARTING and the Necrons are still going toe to toe with literally everyone else, let that sink in: this is only THE BEGINNING.
@@Happyface714nah, it's because other races aren't a threat to Necrons. Necrons could even close the eye of terror, have prevented the horus heresy, aso., but those things just aren't capable of bothering them. What is a bother to them are the Nids. Not necessarily because Nids pose a threat to necrons, but because they pose a threat to the one and only Necron goal: to gain back their bodies of flesh.
Whenever I see anrakyr's model I always think what a cool looking dude, but now that I hear his lore he also seems like a cool dude for a necron at least.
Yo man, if you read these, thanks. You have a great voice and delivery, something i find lacking in almost all other warhammer content. It makes it real and adds a huge amount to the enjoyment. Love your stuff man, just wanted to say thanks for the hours of entertainment.
Necrons resonate with me so much right now. I'm lost after a years of separation from the wonder of your channel. Now before me stands an endless feast. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!
Oooh, what a controversial take on Anrakyr. I like it. There's no question that his quest has a selfish core-- whatever else his views, he prioritizes the wellbeing and honor of the Necrons over all others. That said, I think he embodies best some of the best qualities of the Necrontyr of old, and what they had the potential to be. Prideful and callous, yes, but honorable and not given to pointless and senseless war simply for the sake of pride, as so often was the case with the fearful and bitter living Necrontyr lords. Without the fear of death that hung over the Necrontyr, there's potential with those Necrons like Anrakyr to find peace and collaboration, at least for as long as there is enough space in the galaxy to share. It seems likely to me that he'll break from the Sautekh Dynasty and Imotekh, given the Silent King's near-identical goal for the Necrons, although if they decide not to go with that I'll be very interested what happens instead.
Oh then Nemesor Zhandrek is your guy. The old nemesor still belives that he is flesh and blood and fighting in the old Seccesion Wars. He still follows the Honor Code of Necrontiers and everbody a necrontyr for him. + He is one of the best general of the whole galaxy.
@@szabokristof551 oh for sure, Zahndrekh and Obyron are two of my absolute favorites among the Necrons. I hope we see them featured in major story battles in the lore soon, regardless of whose side they're on. Knowing Zahndrekh, it'll probably be with Imotekh, but I'll be cheering for them to make it through if the two big guys in the Necron faction come to blows
I think Anrakyr isn't averse to letting the younger races be, so long as they don't get in the way of his mission. The books that feature him portray him as being rather affable and friendly when he's not actively campaiging, sort of like Arkhan the Black.
@@theroadstopshere well, Zahndrekh is known for being unflinchingly loyal, and his use of honorable wartime conduct makes his master's side look good. I imagine both Szarekh and Imotekh would be falling over themselves in an attempt to sway him to their side of the coming civil war, only time will tell where the Nemesor's allegiance truly lies.
Does anyone else feel like the spark that will finally light the poderkeg that is the 40k universe is almost here? It just feels like a tipping point is almost here that will shake the galaxy to its core.
It is studying of the lore of your enemies, young neophyt! So listen closely and write down key information,so you may smite the foes of the Emperor with might and wisdome. ;)
I think he does it half and half. He does want all necros to prosper, but he knows this will raise him up as well. Maybe he think a rising tide will raise all ships and this is the best way for him to maximize his own power.
I feel that necrons backstabbing necrons is just slightly less common than dark Eldars backstabbing dark Eldars. At least when it comes to how you've presented them so far.
Oooooh anrakyr vs imotek id watch that undoubtedly! I can see it now right as a wounded imotek tries to claim personal victory over anrakyr anrakyr shifts out of existence after diminishing imoteks forces down to half or maybe 2/3. Then the crusade of helbrecht claims the stormlords head as a trophy and ultimate victory for both anrakyr now light-years out of helbrechts reach and helbrecht down on the planets surface! Its almost motivated me enough to write again
Back in the day when the decided to introduce the Necrons I didnt like them much. I guess I felt that they didnt fit in, but the more you talk about them the more intriguing I find them, and the more gim-dark they become.
Hello RU-vid algorithm. For me the Necron nobility offers the most interesting roleplay an story telling potential. They personally remember what it "felt" like to be a human like race but now they are very different. They are hyper intelligent an super strong but they can glitch and are 60 million years out of date. There greatest accomplishments were achieved when they had no free will an now those chains are broken, but can they be reforged? They enslaved there gods but are now surrounded by "their people" who are nothing more than automatons. In short they are the exact opposite of Data from Star Trek in every way.
Another great piece brother Baldy most excellent. Every other single faction in 40k should be praying that these Necron Lords don't decide to put aside their quarrels and unite. As that would be truly terrifying and quite possibly something even the Tryanids could not overcome...
Hi I’m a huge fan. Will you do a video on Ultramar? The history, society, economy and how it contrasts with the rest of the Imperium has always fascinated me.
,,To the grimdarkness of the far future. Where there is no time for peace, there is only time for war" *Confused Deathkorps/or any other guardsman noises* Commisar:,,Wh-what is this peace you are talking about? Is that some kind of warp trickery or betrayal of the holy Emperor?" *It's to have fun without killing anything!* C:,,W-without KILLING!? WITHOUT WEAPONS?! THAT IS HERESY. I don't want anything of your heretical ,,peace"!" A commisar discovers a galatic peace tratey...and flews in horror.
Great video as always my friend! When last we spoke you asked me to remind you of a possible Night Goblin video, and possibly a night lords raptor /warp talons . I hope your doing well and you and your family are remaining safe!
He's a traveller eh? Well it's a dangerous business, Anrakyr, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.
I love your channel and all the videos but if I could make a request it would be for more black templars. Suffer not the unclean. You rock, keep up the good work.
Great work as always sir balders! Where can i find the music you always use for your necron videos? Id love to work on my necron army (which, btw i started because of your videos) while listening to that
The great problem is that all the Dyasties awakening at once would cause a civil war, as they all scramble to make a claim now that the Silent King does not hold them as thrall to his will. Furthermore, an increase in Necrons in the galaxy might make the other factions prioritize fighting the Necrons or worse still, unite to fight a common foe. Such a waste that would cause, possible vessels for the rebirth of the Necron, consumed on the pyre of war. I am sure other Phaerons know this and so seek to divert his attention until the stars are right for one of them to seize the galactic board once and for all.
I doubt the Imperium would unite with anyone since it is clearly xenophobic to the point of irrationality. The Aeldari factions might unite, but even then, their forces are barely capable of handling a single necron invasion force (see the Carnac campaign from Black library for an example). Only the Orks and the nids have the strenght and the numbers to pose a threat to a Necron dynasty. As for the Imperium, a company of Space marines is insufficient to take a single tomb world (see the Damnos novel for an example). However, a crusade force is capable of taking on a dynasty's territory, but even then only if it is weakened by some malfunction (see the Twice-Dead King novels). All in all, most factions are barely capable of facing a single dynasty on equal ground of it is at full strenght, let alone a coalition of dynasties. On a hive fleet could match it in numbers, and even then it would lose at the attrition since there would be no biomass to consume (necrons sterelize their worlds to purifiy them). The only true enemy of the necrons are themselves, both because of their internal conflicts and because of the lurking dementias that curse their species, which are the flayer's curse, the destroyer dementia and the dysphorak.
When both parties are mutiliated, the type of foe is revealed. The conventional foe retreats for self preservation. The hostile foe presses forward, despite all injury, and may even defy death itself. The friendly foe sits beside your crippled body and shares in your last moments with some nice liqour and friendly banter. He then dies near you only moments later, probably because you took one of his arms.
Anrakyr has no chance to challenge anyone Necron or otherwise. In the lore his troops are waning from constant conflict other Necron lord are too pompous to to send reinforcements. Silent King comes Anrakyr bends the knee. It is not Anrakyr's place to unify the Necrontyr's mission it is Silent King's and Imotekh being Silent King's righ hand advisor.
My first traveller model went on a travel I dont think hed expect to have made in his long life: through my sisters dog. She ate my model and I found him in her poo.
I know the internet can be a hostile place, even saw unprompted shit-talk on my man, Joe Rogan, but the first time I see a mean comment against Sir Baldemort here that's when my last scrap of hope for humanity gets stomped out.
