I have a KLX300SM. She(Lexxi) feels like a sport bike when I tuck in. Only one person has actually commented on how it looks like a dirt bike. I did my first 90 mile ride yesterday. Fun. Edit: Am 16 year old nub and ride with Harleys… for now.
When you get to Champ school, they teach something that you told us to never do: braking mid-turn. They strongly feel that riders should be able to brake mid-turn, for safety on public roads.
Well I’m racing situtations (on track) you should never be braking mid turn. You can brake later into a turn but never brake turn then let off brakes and brake mid corner. That just means you messed up or braked too early.
@@TheDaemon66 On the track you can see further ahead. But on the street, cars can pull out of driveways, or brake in the middle of a turn, or there can be a traffic light mid-turn, there are plenty of scenarios where it can be necessary for a motorcycle to brake mid-turn. It's a pretty important skill to have to be able to brake smoothly mid-turn.
I'll actually brake mid turn during races if I'm pushing wide and need to get the front pointed more for a good exit. It's a very careful and slight adjustment like trail braking a bit too long.
I absolutely hate the bleeping out info n saying to watch the full video on the discord.... I joined yammie noob just for the discord and ended up letting my membership expire cuz I couldnt access the discord a single time and had no open line of communication to get any insight into how to access it....js
Hey Yammie and internet! This channel has been incredibly helpful with my motorcycle knowledge. I started on a Rebel 500 and absolutely love it. Im about 5k miles on this thing and want to keep it and get another style of bike but something i can still commute in since I dont think im ready for any track days or to do hood rat shit.. Im torn between a Trident 660 | Ninja 650 | CB650R... I would LOVE a CB650R but its impossible to find within 500 miles of me.. Your videos on the Trident 660 make me wonder about the throttle but I have access to a near by deal and can test ride one. And I hate to say it.. i like the way the Ninja650 looks and it has the lowest seat height of all of these and Im only 5'7" with a 30-3" inseam.. So feeling out the (impossible to find) CB650R would be great but I just cant find one. I dont want to settle, but is a Ninja 650 something I should even consider as a second bike here? Or even the Trident660 for that matter? In short, I'm torn right now and would love to hear your thoughts on this. I've seen your breakdowns of each of these bikes and I imagine theres quite a bit of things to consider but would like to know which of these you think would be an ideal 2nd bike for someone who is not terribly tall and is looking to do a bit of commuting/have it as a weekend weapon. I feel like the seat height has been something holding me back but everyone I talk to says its not a huge deal and I can adapt - especially since I can still one-foot a bike with a 32" seat height basically. Thanks in advance for any advice on this!
how about the people that run the youtube channel just shadowban the 3 or 4 different bots that show up every video? i ain't going to put work/time into a channel with a paywall discord lol
Compromise with the ZH2 more comfort and factory forced induction. stock is tame and lets you grow into to platform, then just a few mods on the stock block will get you all you want.
Sport bikes. Naked bikes. Standard bikes. Fast nimble and fun. Don't do a bunch of Harley stuff where the only thing you do is drive in straight lines and spray oil all over
My first bike was a 1973 Yamaha DS7 250 twin 2 stroke . Now I ride a 1991 Honda GL1500 se Goldwing 35 years later and many years as a proffesional mechanic
Yammie, I’ve been watching your vids for awhile, I’m a total newbie. I’m 5ft or 5”1, round 170lbs and have no idea what my inseam is. I want a bike that’s a little sporty and for traveling to like the next cities or states. I’ve done way too much research and so many options comes up but I’m still unsure of which bike to get. My main reason for wanting a bike is the excitement, freedom, and fun. Totally don’t want something that is too big or too heavy. If you could give me recommendations, I’d appreciate it. Of course if you see this in a sea of comments. Thank you!
My first motorcycle it was 1974 Honda CB250 when I was younger and now I drive 2007 Piaggio mp3 250IE! Next year I be getting 2022 Amigo Dragster 200cc Trike! Yammie Noob 🍻
Tesla owners have a enormous complex... especially when I'm on my bicycle (10 spd) They don't yield or share the road in any regard. Inhibit me from doing my own thing and are constantly over accelerating . You're trying to flex on me?! I don't even have to charge my bicycle. I have less impact on the planet than you, and I'm actually piloting my mode of transportation. Not staring at some tablet while driving worrying about how cool I look. I have carbon wheels, and a pair of HED 3's if I really wanna show off. MAN I NEED A MOTORCYCLE :(
There is definitely inventory problems. I decided I wanted to add a 2022 MT-07 to the garage. I ordered it December 8th 2021 and it arrived June 10th 2022.
Dude no fucking way you're in Austin? I've been here for 5 years! One day I plan to learn to ride too and so does my gf. Any recommendations on the best riding schools to go to?
I turn 19 in Feb and I live in uk I'm looking at either a svartpilen 401 or XSR700 I would have to get the XSR700 limited to 47hp because of UK laws but idk which to pick
Don't get married unless you want to give her half of you earnings from when you get a divorce. It's a 50/50 chance of it to last. What bike would you buy if it was a 50 percent chance it starts next week. Just a little help for you! Hope you vetted well. If not, most expensive bed fun you will spend
What is a good helmet, that's quiet. I have a modular, that's ece certified, but the wind noise is kind of ridiculous, I'll wear my XM4 in my left ear but it even gets drowned with wind noise
Hey Yams, I'm a cruser guy but you're right that we need diversity in our rides and exposure to different styles of rides. And a few I'd love for you to use is a "" MEET AND YEET"" have a dirt bike centered day and haven't a jumping contest......wait maybe a jumping !!!!DEMONSTRATION!!! to highlight the event. Then a ""BREWSER CRUSER"" night where you host cruiser styles and have it at the Shiner brewery or any micro brewery, where you bring up alcohol and bike safety tips and awareness. An ""ADVENTURE TO REMEMBER "" weekend at lake Travis on ADV bikes. Get ADV dads and sons or family's out for a Glamping and trail rides weekend and have some trials bikes doing some displays or demos. "" ROCKIT AROUND THE TRACK "" a track day themed event for nontrack folks who've never been to one. And showcase different track correct bikes and bikes show the differences between track and street uses and setups. And have a rock band highlight the end with a concert at COTA!! Many more ideas but those could be quarterly kind of events you organize.
Haha! My username had to be edited out for my question, which ALSO had to be edited out cuz it's gonna be a vid! That qualifies as a 3-point shot for me! Edit: he said my name later, so it's back to two-points...
Just got my first ticket today. 100+mph on my Ninja 400. 😔 This is going to absolutely wreck me financially. It’s not worth it, guys. Don’t speed. 😖 Honestly I’m so upset. This month has just been the worst, man…found out my now ex gf was doing all this stuff and lying about it, now this…😔😔😔
TESLA, I HATE HATE HATE them, here in CA they are every ware. The drivers are always on the phone or messing the center console computer. Have them removed from the road!
I'm not a fan of the automated reply bot on your RU-vid comments. I'm sure you did it to make the viewers feel like they aren't being ignored, but it seems somehow worse. Just my opinion. Love the content! My wife just gave me permission to ride to Austin sometime!!! It would solely be to visit your store and meet you. Lol
Yeah those are just scam bots that you see on most popular channels they're not affiliated with the content creators at all so just ignore or report those
