Her son, Charles Virtue stated this on Instagram : Let’s talk about the A-Z list. This is very difficult for me to be open about because my mother and I are very good friends - but at the same time, since she switched beliefs it seems she in no way respects mine or anyone else’s views that differ from hers. It’s beyond surreal. I grew up with and always knew the most loving and open hearted person. When I struggled with my spiritual beliefs she was there to guide me to what I still consider to be the truth. My mother and I have talked many times since her conversion and I’ve asked why she has to be so extreme with everything. From what I gather she just really believes in what she is now preaching and really believes she needs to ‘save’ people from what she used to teach. Fine. It’s not like she hadn’t been wearing large crosses on her necklaces for the past few years - and in the mid/late 90’s she used to take my brother and I to Christian Science church. My mother has always had Christian-leaning views, but up until recently she always talked about the truth not being the man-made bible, but love. When someone changes views so rapidly and in such an extreme manner, I can’t possibly believe it was guided by the God I know. When someone’s messages go from love to fear in the blink of an eye, it’s more about their journey than anything related to truth. When Feng shui and Harry Potter are suddenly synonymous with the Devil - something is very, very wrong. This A-Z list, which in no way can be corroborated by even the most extreme interpretation of the Bible, is meant to do only one thing: confuse and scare those who are insecure about their beliefs. I love my mother - and I will not ‘go to war’ with her new stance, it’s not my mission. But I can’t ignore the negative impact her recent teachings are having on people. It’s more unnecessary confusion and chaos in a world already full of it. But don’t just take my word for it. No one gave me or my mother an ounce of authority to dictate what is right or wrong. Ask God. I keep saying this because man will always give you answers based on their beliefs, biases and experiences. You are allowed to talk to God, find your truth.

I have been awake since I was born. I have never been drawn to Doreen, my intuition told me something was off about her 20 years ago, she never resonated with me. I think people need to be taught how to trust their intuition, how to discern. Go inside yourself , meditate and ask is that my truth? And pay attention to how you feel, you will know & you will feel the truth. Thank you Amanda for the work you do.

She is free and entitled to believe what she wants. What she is not entitled to is being self righteous and arrogant enough to tell others what to believe. So billions of people in this world are all damned because they don’t believe what she and the fundamentalist Christians believe ?! I refuse to believe that the same God or Spirit that created all of us plays favorites. I believe Christ was a loving and inclusive self realized ascendant master, not the bearer of fear or hate. Doreen Virtues transformation from New Age Guru to fundamentalist hater shows a pattern I have seen before in women I have known for years who make a significant change in their lives. The timing of her changes in steps follow a familiar pattern for women who enter into controlling, abusive relationships. She meets and marries a man she says is christian but "completely supports " her. Shortly after she decides its time to give up all the traveling and lectures and workshops ( cutting her off from her supporters, friends, like minded followers), and moves to Hawaii, and settles into blissful home life with hubby. Not many people involved ,and does cute fluffy, short readings, and adopts a bunch of animals. Next "they " decide to move to the country so they can adopt more animals. Even fewer people and less casual contact with the world. Trump wins the election and Doreen states "she" feels stronger now, strong enough to handle the male energy (female energy being so weak and of lesser quality) of christ and will incorporate more of christ in her readings. I quit checking in with her at that announcement so was floored to find 2 years later a you tube video on "What happened to Dorren Virtue?" On watching only two I see a totally different woman. No more long hair, no animals, no colorful dress or backdrop. Just a beaten woman looking like every other frightened defeated fundie wife I've ever seen. Bobbed hair, in a mans long sleeved shirt, confined to a brown room. Repudiating everything she every said or thought, and warning us evil is taking over.

Doreen Virtue was never my cup of tea. Personally I think it's dangerous to follow anybody so blindly that it would upset me if they change their path. Doreen can do what she likes and so can I. When I say that Doreen is not my cup of tea it doesn't mean that I hate or disrespect her. It just means that she goes her way and I go mine. There are some people I resonate more with than others and again it doesn't make them better or worse. When I buy cards I buy them because I love the artist and usually I think on my own what it means to me, and that can be something different every time. I like your video, very thought provoking

Thank you, Amanda. You very gently and thoughtfully approached this topic. Doreen is lost in her personal tower moment. I could see it coming at least ten years ago. She allowed people to put her on a pedestal. It was a very tall one. OUCH!

I’m a a vicar and I’m also on the fringes in terms of what would normally be found in churches. I do chakra work, I use Harry Potter as a theological tool, I also use crystals and also cards. I see my job/ministry is to lead people out of “third party” understandings and stepping into their own divinity to help people get woke. As a Christian I feel that Doreen Virtue’s new found understanding is exactly what God/Source is calling us out of. Preach, sister. Preach.

I don't understand why she has turned in this direction. It's very sad. She wrote a book just before she converted called something like Don't Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle. I've looked at pictures of her before and what she looks like now and it appears that she truly has let a toxic religion dull her sparkle. I remember the words of Jesus that he came to set us free. I'm not a Christian anymore, but I do love Jesus and I don't think she's following the true Jesus. Jesus was about love and kindness and gentleness. I do think we have a right to be angry - angry at a religious system that has hurt and deeply damaged countless people. Her list only reminded me of all the beautiful things I do use and which have healed my soul, Harry Potter included. Onward and upward!

I was meditating this morning on this very topic and was hearing from my guides that Doreen is showing the world the value we have placed on spirituality and religion instead of focusing on truth of who we are. I was told she has been charged with bringing up the polarity of both religious and spiritual communities to show how misplaced trust leads to deception and falsehoods. Where is your trust placed? Is it in a spiritual teacher or a religious teacher? Or is it in yourself? Spirituality has been removed from religion and the time is coming where they will be brought together. Doreen is playing her part in all of this, just as we all have a part to play. We are all on the same team just many are still unconscious to it, but like Amanda says mass awakening is occurring and will continue in the years ahead. I bless her for playing this role it can't be easy, I'm sure.

Thank you for your wisdom and insight. I stopped following Doreen about 5 years ago, she started feeling fake to me, something was just “off” about her. This is a huge wake-up call to everyone-don’t worship any earth teacher, don’t follow anyone blindly. Think and feel for yourself.

I agree Amanda. I was not triggered at all by her. She didn’t resonate with me at all and that was it. I saw her ego in her words so I didn’t see her true self. I just left it at that and moved on. Hi lovely. How sad is this. I have a lot of Doreen Virtue cards. I believe in angels. I believe in crystals. I Havant seen her A toZ I will look. But the ones you mentioned . I believe in these methods. I died on the operation table when I had an ectopic pregnancy. I went to a place of unconditional love. It was the most amazing experience I have ever felt. It was pure love. I came back and told my husband. He just said it was the anaesthetic. I knew what I felt. I am now divorced and on my spiritual path. I found the path guided me to Reiki Theta and now Rahanni. Which is lord Melchizedek and Kwan yin. I went to a shamanism workshop. What has happened to Doreen Virtue. I will follow my path. My guides are with me. I found I am a twin flame. This is the most amazing journey I am on. I won’t be looking at her A to Z as when you mentioned some of it. It made me feel heavy inside. I don’t feel that when I do my healing. I feel LOVE. Love is all their is. While I am here on Gaia I will spread all the love I have . And have learnt. I found you recently. I like you. You resonate with me. I grew up in Church since a baby. When I went started to go through my awakening several years ago I had a little talk with God/Jesus/Benevolent Spirit team. I said to them there is just something we are not understanding. I found so many spiritual teachers that were "out of bounds" from the traditional teachings. I found Neville Goddard teachings and more than anyone else found Bill Donahue (Hidden Meanings) on RU-vid and all of his videos explaining the allegorical meanings of the stories in the Bible. I've watched hours and hours of his videos. They have made sense to me. It's all about consciousness. Different levels of consciousness. Well, I could go on and on about this subject. For anyone struggling that comes from a hardened "religious/church" programmed background, I think these Bill Donahue videos would help you. They sure did me. I'm open-minded and I believe there are many ways to Christ consciousness. The kingdom of heaven is within you as the Bible says. Many people find it in many different ways.

I love what you said, "That's something to work on" to all of the A-Z list items that ignite a trigger. Because Doreen is such a larger than life public figure, she's in a divine position to offer contrast to all that we hold as Truth. God bless her. She's playing the role of the one who is bringing us to clarity about what we hold true for ourselves ... and nothing more. We are being guided to our uncompromising authenticity and that can only happen when we get individually clear about what supports us, what we say "Yes" to, and discarding or releasing all the rest. Like you said Amanda, if it triggers, look within and say "Hello" to that and get to know it. There's unfinished business going on and Doreen is simply calling you to get clear about it. I find it interesting that Doreen has converted to such a strong faith in the Bible. As one (that would be me) who comes from a "Born Again Christian" foundation, I was immersed lock, stock and barrel in the Christian faith and the Bible as I understood it. Doreen's list was my own. I knew The Way and everyone else who didn't agree with me was going to hell. But then I started asking the questions, "What makes me right? Can this be the only way? Is there really a heaven and a hell? Is the Bible the ONLY BOOK that has all of the answers? And then ... one day, I had an Awakening that released my foundation and opened the porthole to all possibilities. In my new experience, there is no law book, no rule book and everything is interpretation ... EVERYTHING!!! I could reread the bible today and interpret something different than I did when I was a practicing "Christian". The devil was real in that world and now ... the devil is simply those dark spaces within that I have not gotten intimate with or that part of myself that I do not yet understand. The devil might be darkness but is not a thing to be feared or something to run from. Instead, the devil is an opportunity to take another look within to get intimate and clarity because in my experience, my outer world is simply a reflection of what is within being played out. Get intimate with my inner self and my outer world grows with that. That may not be your experience, but that is my interpretation of my experience. All of my life/experience, is an inside job! And so my fellow "Light workers" ... take heart. You are being guided to what is true for you and that is all. There is nothing else going on ... no hidden agenda ... no evil play ... no life trip-up! It's merely a call to authenticity and Doreen is giving you an opportunity to walk your talk and get intimate about those things that are asking for clarity and she's in a position to do that because her audience is so big ♥

I was one of these confused people who was new to my spirituality. I brought Doreen’s books only to later find out about her change of mind on the internet (just like your example in the video). I was absolutely devastated because I was feeling so great & enjoying what I was learning only to be gutted believing it was now a waste of time & effort. I even briefly became so fearful of God. Amanda - Doreen has moved into ego. It’s fear based and it’s time that we move into a loving space for her. She’s moved into identify with the mind. It’s fear, it’s identifying with an ideology of “right and wrong”. That simply doesn’t exist. Blessing to her and all those who follow her. As for those who’ve been triggered or are upset. I say if you need “guru - emissary” or someone to follow, you should look at that and know it’s ego and not present moment. If you stand back and look at this situation from a bigger picture point of view, you can see that her value is to help all of us take another step toward enlightenment, in reaction to her. look at the effect she is having on many of us. We are even more sure of the goodness of our processes because we can see she is hooked in to unloving energy.

Out of curiosity I had to read her screed myself and I find it interesting that most of her quotes are from the Old Testament. She must not read much from the New Testament, which is where her "faith" is supposed to be seeded, in the life of Jesus Christ. I would refer her to 1 Corinthians 12:4-12, as she rages against "healing hands" or "gifts of prophesy"...since in her own bible these are some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which she apparently believes to be heresy now. I am very surprised that whatever it was that she experienced caused her to not only run back to the Church but to become so fundamental as to be espousing teachings which are medieval and prior to the changes in faith and traditions from the Ecumenical Councils.

There is so much taught in the Harry Potter books about what we need to be doing now. Honour what you feel, and trust yourself when something feels wrong. Follow your own guidance, not a person like Voldemort who is damaged and hurting and turns that onto others. Hold up your friends when they need it. When we get lost, follow what we love back to our way (Ron leaving book 7). Our fears are ridiculous, looked them in the face like a bogard and shift it. Depression drains us like the dementors, use your happy thoughts to pull you through. Seeking power harms us and those around us, even Dumbledore lost his sister. And don't divide us through hate and racism, like magical people and muggles. This was planted in millions of children's minds to help them. We are magical, don't fear our magic, it was created by God.

It always astonishes me the concept that God is just waiting for us to screw up and believe the wrong thing so he can send up to Hell. It is so different then the God that I know from within. The God that I know is unconditional love beyond our ability to know and speak of. I feel sorry for Doreen and a lot of others that have bought into fear instead of love, who have chosen darkness instead of light, to have to live in such fear when there is such love out there for each of us. A long time ago I made the decision to go within to learn of God. I have refused to let ANYONE tell me about what I should or shouldn't believe. The answers are within, " The master you seek is within, go there for your understanding"

I never ‘followed’ Doreen but feel for those that did and are feeling conflicted. However I do wonder why they are still going to her website etc when they no longer resonate with her? I would imagine that Doreen now feels she lead people astray with her ‘new age teachings’ and so she will probably continue to bang on about ‘new age’ stuff being ‘wrong’. We all have a choice as to whether we read it or not.

I honestly feel that when she was baptised (18 months ago?) in Hawaii just before they both (her and her husband) left, that she had been taken over with an entity that wasn't from the light. All those animals that they rescued, how did they find homes so quickly for them? I find this latest A-Z list quite ridiculous and honestly laughable. She is showing her true intent. Send her light, as she needs it at this time. Thanks Amanda for all the work that you do.

I'm listening to this on June 1 out of curiosity. I was never drawn to DV, but kept seeing her name, so did a quick search on why. Your compassionate view of the change in her message is a breath of the freshest, most peaceful air. Last weekend I spent hours watching the video encounter between the Covington Catholic school boys and the five Black Hebrew Israelite men. The first videos I watched were short segments of the boys showing Nathan Phillips bringing his drum and singing the American Indian Movement song as he inserted himself and the energy of peace between the two groups. The first short videos I saw did not show the Black Hebrew Israelites at all, so there was no context for why Nathan Phillips was even there. I had to watch the 1 hour 46 minute video that the Black Hebrew Israelites themselves posted to RU-vid to see the entire sequence of events to understand how and why it all played out the way it did. It was fascinating. I have a master's degree in conflict resolution and it was a fascinating study for me. My master's thesis dealt with Native women and how they managed to survive through the hundreds of years of genocide, so I was especially interested in this. What I saw in the long video was Black Hebrew Israelites shouting, as they are allowed to do with their rights to free speech in America, shouting insults and disparaging remarks to the Native Americans gathered nearby for their Indigenous People's March. The black men wanted the Native people to know that God judged them for worshipping the wind, the buffalo, the earth (which they don't), that that was the reason God took their land away from them. If they wanted to get back into the good graces of God and get their land back, they needed to worship Jesus, the way the black men see Jesus. They said outrageous and incendiary things to everyone and everything around them, including the MAGA-hat-wearing boys when they showed up. It was hard to watch, especially at the beginning when a Native woman came up and tried to talk to them and say hey, we're not worshipping "the sun" or "the buffalo," we're worshipping God! These are parts of the creation, and *everything* is part of "God." They wouldn't hear her and wouldn't talk to her. They told her they'd talk to her husband. Did she have a husband? Bring him over here and let us talk to *him*. Then the Doreen Virtue article came to my attention later last week. It's the same energy. The Black Hebrew Israelites are essentially saying the same things, in the same ways, as Doreen Virtue. It's the energy of fundamentalism, of I'm right and you're wrong, and you'd better believe exactly as I believe or you're going to hell. As we saw in the video, you can't talk to people who can out-shout you and out-condemn you. They're not here for dialogue, to share their opinions with an open mind and an open heart. They're here to get attention. I had to wonder where the guy in the video that was doing all the talking, got his inspiration. He could condemn anything, anybody, nonstop, and did, for the entire time of the video -- an hour and 46 minutes! He was talking and verbally abusing nonstop at the beginning and he didn't slow down one bit until the last 10 minutes or so of the video. His stamina for public speaking was amazing. Where do you get the channeling energy for something like that?! It was when it looked and felt like a fight was definitely going to break out that Nathan Phillips brought his drum and his song into the middle of that, and the energy shifted. That was something to behold. The Black Hebrew Israelites also turned their attention away from the MAGA-hatted boys onto Nathan Phillips, and so did the media, somehow making Nathan Phillips the scapegoat. He brought light and peace and calm to the whole situation that was about to turn ugly, really ugly, and possibly violent. And this scenario got played and replayed a gazillion times on Facebook, RU-vid, all of social media. We've all seen it; we've all formed our opinions of it. I don't know that many people "got" the message about the energy of fundamentalism that was being whipped up by the two at-war factions here, the black fundamentalists and the white fundamentalists, and I didn't hear one single person talking about how this is an allegory for our times, with the lightworkers stepping in between the two groups and smoothing things out, shifting the energy, and changing the outcome. At least in the video I watched, the Black Hebrew Israelites saw what was happening when Nathan stepped in, and realized there was "a demon" spirit that was growing, and that Nathan calmed the demon. They saw that, felt it, identified it, and spoke it on the video. A few days later, Doreen. So interesting. As you say, we must be getting very close. People have to make a decision now and it's right in their faces. They can't escape it. Do they want to be a Nathan Phillips? A MAGA-hat wearing fundamentalist? A Black Hebrew Israelite fundamentalist? A Native woman saying "it's ALL God"? We have to choose, if we haven't already made the choice.

I am hurt because she was that empowering voice of comfort. Now she wants to put people in mind cages. She was at peace once and taught people how to contact angels. She would only produce positive decks. Now she is very negative but preaches that her new guidance will somehow bring you peace instead.

What saddens me is that now that I’ve denounced my ties with Christianity, this is the best I’ve ever felt. I feel like I can finally be who I really am (a bisexual woman who loves studying astrology and is against wars and is for common sense laws), this is the closest I’ve ever felt to my guides and ancestors, I feel more loved and accepted than I ever have in my life. While I was a Christian, I felt like I needed to hide who I was and I was living a life that wasn’t mine.

Great video Amanda!!! Interesting how she keeps coming up. I recently saw a Facebook friend discussing this topic. I pondered for a bit and in looking at the confusion that it is causing, realized it is actually strengthening my own truth in self. The answer no longer lies within an author, guru, spiritual teacher, etc. it lies within.

Thank you for this video Amanda, it's exactly what I needed to hear. I am new on the spiritual path and went to buy my first angel card deck, looked for Doreen Virtue cards and found out about her converting. Like you said in your video, I was so confused and it made me question my beliefs, because I am still learning and my connection with source is still very new. I even started reading bits of the Bible but what I came to realise was that when I read about the God depicted in the Bible, I feel fearful and anxious, but when I meditate and connect with source and the angels, all I feel is love, light and peace. Good morning Amanda I feel rather sorry for this lady how after so many years believing and practicing what she did can she suddenly go into denial she must have had some very powerful outside influence. One thing last week that worried me about a video on RU-vid and this is not the first one I have seen. I never watched them I don't subscribe to the idea of hell as somewhere there are demons ready to torture us and burning over fiery fires of hell. The title of her video was "I died and went to hell then heaven and woke up in a undertakers". I'm completely stumped how can someone think their in hell then go on to heaven . Have you any idea what this woman is talking about. Great video as usual many thanks 🙏🏻

I believe that Doreen has way too much power over people. She’s triggering all of those souls who followed her words over their own personal relationship with God. All those people who followed her every word in the past looked to her instead of healing within and looking within.

This appears to me as an obvious message that some are still searching outside of themselves through "others" for answers and what to do. I always remember, we all are playing out our parts here.... You are absolutely spot on that this situation would be very confusing to someone who was new to the subject, as her Angel items etc are still in the shops. Either she had a stroke or her soul traded out with a walk-in. I noticed a couple of months before her change that she looked increasingly different -- tense and tired.

So, just a thought concerning Doreen and her new found belief system. How does she know she hasn't been duped by the Devil? Sounds like she is all about keeping people in bondage with her teachings now. Don't think for yourself and don't you dare have a personal relationship with God because you are not worthy to have a one on one with Him. Therefore, I have to ask, isn't that something the Devil would want? God gives us freewill and Satan gives us bondage and conformity. Doreen may want to re-examine where her beliefs are coming from now. Doesn't sound very Christ centered to me. Quite the opposite, actually.

Doreen has done some amazing stuff and helped many people. She has changed her path and her views and if people don’t want to hear what she’s saying now stop following her. Use what you’ve learned from her with love and gratitude and walk away from what is no longer serving you.
