I.e. one leading up to a bed or sofa if we allow them on there. Just asking as I’m not sure if this would be best for their backs. Thank you :)

Do you only own miniature dachshunds

Hi, very quick question we have an 8 month old Dach who has discovered his tail. he has began to bite it and whimper and bark as he does. Hes also biting quiet nastily when we try to comfort him. we have taken him to the vets who have placed him on a course of steroids suggesting its to do with with anal glands and his tail is him displacing his uncomfort. Have you had any issues yourself with them as pups doing this as we are worried about leaving him for a wedding this weekend.😕

When buying a dachshund, if the puppies are advertised as PRA clear should they have a certificate to prove that?

Hello. I have a question. :) I have a new puppy..... he’s beautiful, we adore him. However, he’s not in to giving affection or showing us he’s happy to see us. We are not concerned, we love him, he’s just independent I guess. I wanted to ask if you have seen this?? Do the puppies grow out of it? Or is that their trait.... he’s only been with us for 2 weeks so I am aware he needs time, I honestly may not have noticed, but I see his sister (same litter) daily who is very much so a people pup, so my wee fudges aloofness does stand out!!
