Answering FAQ about my toy poodle 

Are u sure? I believe belle does have a docked tail. Poodles have a long tail that points at the tip. I use to breed them and the tails/dew claws are removed at 2 weeks at the vet check up. She’s a beauty

Over 7 pounds at 6 months makes me think as a former professional toy poodle breeder that she will end up being in the 10 - 13 pound range at full grown. Toy poodles continue to grow until 2 years of age. My toy poodles were typically around 2 - 3 pounds at 6 months of age, ending at around 7 pounds by the time they were 2. My last toy poodle from my breeding program is 7 pounds, but that's because she really likes food and is overweight. She typically weighs around 3 - 5 pounds, but she's now 10 years old and the weight crept up in the last 2 years. We are going to be working on it and have already put her on a weight management food. Your poodle is a beautiful color. My Thumbelina started out at that color, but is now pretty much white. They will fade in color. Currently I have a solid black (cost $2600 AKC/Russian registered, non docked/dew claw intact), a solid chocolate (unregistered but came from AKC/Russian registered stock, non docked, dew claw intact), and my Thumbelina (AKC/CKC registered stock, docked & dew claws removed) who was technically apricot, but is now white from age. Full curl hair does not come completely in until over 1 year of age. Docking the tail and removal of dew claws has a solid reason behind it. Dew claws on toy poodles have nails that will curl completely around and back into their skin, as well as getting hung on things and causing far more damage than just having them removed to begin with. Poodles can have a condition that causes their tail to occify (become rigid) or continue to grow throughout their lives which can cause the tail vertebrae to become unstable, become infected, resulting in the removal of the tail at an older age and more damage. Now, this is rare, but for myself, I just always had their tails and dew claws removed professionally and there was never any issues with their longevity. Big hint/tip *Always clean the hair out of your toy poodles ear canal because they are prone to getting ear infections from the hair and any moisture that gets into their ears. There are special tools to make it easier, but I always just had that professionally done as well. Pet insurance is a great thing to have because it covers all these routine things and the cost of pet insurance is so reasonable.

Based on the weight/age ratio, she seems more towards the miniature Poodle breed. I have a toy poodle who at 5.5 months is between 4 and 5 lbs.
