Welcome to our Food Forest! This project has been a large part of the farms work over the past couple of years. From the planning, to planting to irrigation and up keep we are enjoying the fruits of our labour as it starts to really establish and produce large quantities of beautiful organic produce.
In this video Darren answers questions people had about our set up, more specifically talking about pest control, irrigation, weather and environmental factors and solar. This is just the start of our food forest so we are still in its R&D stage to ensure we can try create a thriving permaculture set up that is suitable for our environment in the South West of Western Australia.
Any comments or suggestions you have to improve this set up is greatly appreciated, we are always open to speak about how we can work with and help mother nature to create a healthy and sustainable environment that will contribute to our land and local area, and hope it inspires around the world too.

Great to see a farm done the right way. Its the way of the future. Your water pump filtration unit reminded me of something i heard Joel Salatin say about how he kept his water clean. He had floating containers that held the pipes (in your case could be the pumps?) at a certain level above the floor (to avoid dirt )and below the surface. Though his pond was above his main farm so he had gravity flow. Just an idea if you havent done this already. Maybe its a mute point anyway but thought id mention it anyway.

@@bangadangfarm Hoping that one day you might have a bit of a visitor’s Centre so we can head down and have a look. Keep up the great work.

Looks to me like they are just 25mm PVC with 3way T pieces on each corner

We were sent them from overseas but yes as above has said, you could find the supplies locally and create the same shape

If they work over the next few months, we could talk about these more in a review type way, so we could share how they could be sourced in Australia. For now they look a little light, might need some type of peg to hold down the corners
