A few weeks ago, I asked people to ask me cubing questions they've been afraid to ask or never had the opportunity to ask. In this video, I'm going to answer the best ones I got! If you have any questions, ask them in the comments! I'm mostly looking for things you don't understand, misconceptions, and things like that, and not generic questions or advice that's specific to you.

skewb is also really easy to get good at, all you have to do is learn intermediate, and the z perm and h perm skip cases, and you can easily be sub 5 with that, if you do around 100 solves a day. istill use that for most of my solves, and I average around 3.3

I have two questions: Why are d turns worse than a rotation? For me d turns seem to be fast in putting a slot where I need it. I've heard you and others say that d turns aren't very good, do you see any good use for them. 2nd question: I have trouble with timing my solves. I have an app that works well for that, but whenever I time my solves I pause more, my solves aren't as smooth. Any advice? Thank you!
@user-me8hy8ew4o
@user-me8hy8ew4o 5 лет назад
For the first question: At least for myself d moves take longer time to do than a rotation. But if you can do d moves fast then you could do them I guess (strangly I have never seen them on very fast solves, I don't know how fast you are, but in general people don't use d moves too often. Great thing is that not everybody has to solve a cube the same way so I would say do what is faster and what you prefer) For the second question I can't really help you because I don't know why you pause. Is it because when you are timing you want to be as fast as possible, so you turn the cube faster but then you have problems with look ahead? That's just a theory because I haven't seen you doing it
