girll I need a video on adult friendships and friend breakups! would love to hear more tips about not getting attached to ppl just to keep a friendship going. And how to keep good friendships going when you all live in diff cities! it is not easy growing up lolol
its so so so important for your friends to listen to you when you say "im not drinking tonight, tomorrow, at all, etc" im one of those people who rarely drinks and its annoying when sometimes my friends are like "come on just take a shot with us" and im like no man I dont fucking want to lol
On Body count: how many people you've hooked up with has ZERO effect on your worth - it literally does not matter or mean anything unless you let it! Like your body isn't physically different and the emotion or shame attached is only there if you let it be! Nobody you've hooked up with has any ownership over you or your worth, its such a toxic part of our culture to suggest otherwise. When you unlearn that, its really freeing :) love the video!
I agree with Gretchen when she told Max “I wish I could see myself the way you see me” as that is something I wish I could do with my friends, relatives & colleagues...
Oh Gretchen, I love love love this. I grew up without a mom to talk to about these things and you have no idea how much this video will probably help so many girls out there that don't have someone to talk to about the girl stuff. I love your authentic, open and honest advice given here. You are so wise beyond your years and I will scream from the rooftops that all the girls need to watch your videos. Thank you so much for making this. So much love to you!
honestly I think Im soo over dating apps and I'm taking a break right now. It's really hard to find people who want something serious and it's like constant ghosting :(
Once life picks back up I GUARANTEE you'll find someone while doing the things you love. Plus, whats one really doing during covid - dating is exhausting. Of course, it's nice to have someone during this time but relish in the "you" time. In hindsight, we spend a majority of our lives with someone so be empowered by being single and doing things for yourself. (or at least that's how I'm viewing it - taking my power back).
gretchen!!!! the whole "i wish i could see me like you see me" part resonated w me SO MUCH omg -- if you haven't already, you've gotta listen to "pov" by ariana grande its literally about that exact topic
Your energy is the best! I feel like you are my friend and we are just hanging out when I watch your videos :) Your optimism is so inspiring and your positive outlook has really helped me process and deal with loss
my boyfriend and I matched on tinder right before I went home for winter break. we communicated via snap, text, and FaceTime for almost two months before we actually met in person. it really showed how committed we were to each other and made meeting irl for the first time so special and not scary at all :)
I would definitely recommend period cups! Can’t feel them at all when they’re in, just like a tampon, but I can leave it alll day no problem, and it never slips like tampons would sometimes for me! Didn’t take that long for me to get used to putting them in/taking them out either, which I think is a big learning curve for some people.
Menstrual cups are honestly great! I was really hesitant to try them because of “crunchy granola person” stereotype it can (I guess) give off, but my friend encouraged me and gave me a discount code to buy one, I figured worst case I just never use it again. It definitely takes a little while to figure out and get used to because it acts like a suction, so you really need to be patient figuring out how to put it in and take it out (and PSA, it’s quite the intrusive process because you really have to feel around down there). I think my first cycle with it I wasn’t super thrilled because the insert and exit was tricky and kinda scary, but I tried it again the next cycle and now that I’m used to it, I love it! It’s great because I never have to worry about taking my tampon out, especially if I’m really busy that day or going somewhere fun and don’t want to have to stop to use the bathroom. I particularly love it overnight, I always get so scared I’m going to bleed through (especially if I’m staying at my boyfriend’s apartment), and it’s WAY less wasteful! I used to go through so many pads and tampons I feel like I’m saving money and helping the environment☺️
Yess! I love the Diva cup and recommend to everyone! Its scary at first but so worth it and I promise you wont go back to tampons. I was scared to try it because I was scared I wouldn't get it out but its actually pretty easy!
@@aliciaribarra I typically put it in every morning and take it out once I get home for the night! I just pulled it out and dump the blood into the toliet and then rinse it out in my sink. A lot of people take it out in the shower but in that position I cant so I do it on the toliet! And then at the end of the period week you're suppose to boil it on the stove for a minute or 2 to get any left over bacteria off. I honestly don't do this every time 😬 sometimes I dont have the time to but I've never had a problem with it!
I love the period cup! I started using it a year ago and it lasts over 10-12 hours! I personally love it for long nursing shifts where I don't feel like I have to constantly monitor it like a tampon. And I don't have to change it til I am clean and showered, rather than at work in my dirty scrubs! It was great to get used to during COVID when at home as well :)
I’ve been using a period cup for three months now and I love it!! It definitely takes practice, but it’s so much cheaper than continuously having to buy tampons and it’s great for environmental reasons! I use the Cora size 1 cup and it’s perfect :) I think it’s like $30 at target and it’s supposed to last longer than 5 years. I’ve heard the Saalt cup is really nice, too!! Would recommend giving one a try
the piece of advice that a friend gave me when I first got my period was to insert it diagonally to the back! so tilt the tampon back a bit and it better goes with your body! also organic cotton tampons are game changers for not getting those icky crampy feelings!!
Love these videos and how real you are. this is 100% why I have continued to watch your videos for years🥰also please tell me where your earrings are from!! I love them so much
it always amazes me when YOUUU talk about having body confidence issues. Really makes you sit back and be like, wow, no matter who you are... there is something! I look at how flat your stomach is and how long your legs are and how you have no exra skin on your arms or faceeee and I just think, wow, what it must feel like to be so gorgeous, and then I am sure there are people who look at me and feel the same way while i feel like crap about myself. Why are we like this hahahah
love menstrual cups!! been using it for 3 or 4 years and it's the best thing I've ever tried. lasts for long hours, really no waste and saves soo much money in the long run.
Hey girl! You should try using make up remover oil!! It keeps your skin super soft and it’s better for the environment (less waste) which I love! There’s a couple of great ones on Amazon
The feminine cleaners can throw off your natural PH and cause problems so if you’re naturally balanced you don’t want to use them. Also the discs are a game changer, I haven’t used a cup but just started trying out the flex discs and 🤩
I know this a random question, but I have always hated coffee but I love a cinnamon dolce latte at Starbucks and have been craving coffee lately but don’t know what to get because I hate the taste of coffee. Do you have any suggestions
I LOVE the cup I'll never go back, and I thought I'd never use one lol. Highly recommend! Gabby Scheyen and Milena Ciciotti have great videos that convinced me if you still are weary! There's also a website where you can take a quiz and find which cup is best for you. Once you get the hang they're super easy and mindless and just make so much sense!
Honestly the advice you gave in this video sounds like advice to your younger self, I don’t think it’s necessarily good advice to put out there for young girls & women who aren’t experienced with these topics because they may be more impressionable. No hate, I just disagreed with a lot of the advice you gave and I know that when I was watching YT videos at a younger age I would have been more likely to take advice on these things
It’s her opinions & I’m sure she puts a lot of thought into her responses because she’s aware of her audience! Anyone who doesn’t understand that shouldn’t be watching this video in the first place🤷♀️
@@caroline372 Exactly my point. Her audience is young & impressionable and some shouldn’t watch this. Not saying she has “bad opinions.” Just because I disagree with some doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with her opinions, but her audience takes her opinions as fact a lot and she gave no disclaimers.
I tried a menstrual cup a few times. Putting it in kinda difficult, once it’s in it’s fine, you feel it a little but it can be worn a little longer than a tampon and doesn’t have a history of cause toxic shock, taking that bitch out ... was a bitch!! Idk how people get the thing out without blood going everywhere, I had to do it in the shower 😬
