for me personally as someone who just started uni last week, it was a MASSIVE jump from A level, i do med at imperial for context, everyday for me is a 9-5 and most days i have 3/4 lectures back to back where they’re just saying stuff at you. i’m already behind on lectures which is crazy but In’Sha’Allah i’ll find my way through with Allahs guidance, i’m enjoying uni so far but your advice about how to maintain deen is very true, you need to stick with people who have taqwa otherwise if you’re in the wrong group, you will take yourself down that route. and for making true friends, if you keep putting yourself in social events and talk to people and make sincere dua for true friends, Allah will bring them to you In’Sha’Allah, honestly uni is very diff to what i was expecting and it is just crazy how much independence you have, so make sure to utilise it with the best activities and not to just rot in your bed 😭
First!! Im in yr 12 rn and you inspire me to go to Oxford uni!! Doing Chem, Maths, Computer science and AS Further maths. Any advise to balance heavy workload (aka hw) and social life in order to get all A* (thats what im aiming for anyway)? Other than that, thank you sm for being my inspo ❤
@@nada_omar Thank you so much! I only got 2 hrs of free period a week tho and its literally constant maths hw 😭Hopefully inshallah i can get into oxford doing Comp.S next year ❤
@@nada_omar Also my friend and i are thinking of creating an "isoc society" in my sixth form. Any ideas for that society (I dont think well be able to do professional talks and all that)?
Can you eat food in college dining halls as a Muslim? I am a Muslim and a vegetarian, so although I don't have to worry about halal meat, I am worried that the meals might be contaminated by oil etc. from haram meat/food.
i also have a question if u don't mind answering, I'm currently a freshman in high school so do you have any advice on what to do or how to prepare for collage? i really want to get into Oxford InshAllah [btw u inspire me so much May Allah swa bless you]🥰
Salaam I'm a fresher at Pembroke and I just wanted to ask if the butcher's you're talking about is the one on Cowley Rd? I don't have a bike and the walk is kind of long (I'm also doing chemistry so idk if I'll have the time), do you normally walk or take the bus? Asking because I know Pembroke and Exeter are pretty close
Hi, I walk there and take the bus back Also you’ll be fine honestly dw it’s a 1 hour trip if you plan what you wanna get in advance :) Or you can go to Sainsbury in westgate and get halal meat
Hii Is there any way you can get an interest free student loan because that’s one thing that I’m thinking about since I’m gonna be applying for uni next year and don’t want to deal with interest as it’s haram
You can take a gap year, work and save. Don’t let anyone fool you into taking the student loan. It’s okay not to get a degree by age 21. Taking interest is going on a war against Allah.
