I fully understand your fear of dogs. When my son was 5-years-old, he was pulled off of a swing by a Doberman. That dog had his entire head wrapped in his teeth and the owner was able to get it off, but my son, Steven, had to have a number of stitches. If there is a bright side, we were glad the scars were in his hairline and he wasn’t visibly scarred throughout life. We knew they were there, but it was only noticeable if he got a really short haircut. Of course, the emotional scars were always there. That family did re-home the dog. It went to live at a farm away from others, so we were thankful to not have to see it any longer. It sounds like your neighbors are not so kind and you are amazing as always!

Heyyyy Ms Donna and Pastor Robert. As a dog owner, I will be the first to say there are rules in place to keep your pet contained and to ensure they cannot come into contact with other people and other pets as well. The community I live in there are a lot of older people who see my dog as a joy because she is friendly and loves the pats and rubs. BUT, my dog also see people who I definitely feel she doesn’t like because her demeanor totally changes. She’s always on a leash and when people come up to her and ask if they can pet her, I always say, if you do be careful because they can turn a whole 360 in a heartbeat! I can understand the fear because any animal that has teeth CAN bite. When I see people shy away, I understand that fear and am sensitive to that because again, everybody doesn’t like or care to be licked or jumped on by your pet. Any responsible pet owner would have offered even if turned down to pay your medical expenses especially their dog coming into your yard and attacking. We have to be responsible with our pets because that shows your love for your pets. I’m sorry that happened and hopefully never again. Take Care❤❤

I totally can relate to this story. I was also attacked by a dog but I was about 13 yrs old. I still have trauma from that. Dog lovers always say oh my dog won’t hurt you. Being attacked by a dog is something you will never understand until it happens to you. This is why I won’t go in Home Depot. Your story just brought me to tears. ❤❤❤

I’ve been attached by a dog on a neighborhood walk and know how traumatic it feels!!!! First of all what’s traumatic for one person may not be for another. So nobody should even comment! She was on THEIR own property where she is supposed to feel safe! At their back door!!! Lack of accountability is unacceptable!

I have reported it to animal control, just like you, nothing has been done. Thank you, I will call the police. But you did the right thing by forgiving them for what happen with the dog and God protected you because it could have been worst. 🙏🏾❤️

Yes i am scared of dogs so bad its tramatzing i am a jamaican 🇯🇲 and last year a was attack by a pitbull right here in New Haven Connecticut and i was rescued by a police officer i ran straight over to the police academy i was shaking like a leaf. Hey Ms. Donna, I truly know and understand what you are feeling. I had a Pit Bull attack me. It was a horrible experience and the owners acted like it wasn't a bite. If it wasn't for the ring that was on my finger, when he bit down the ring was lodged into my finger and hit the nerve. The Lord saved my finger, using that ring to do it. You talking about pain for about 6 weeks!! 😢. God's grace that's all. I truly understand. They didn't pay my health bills either! I have gotten to the forgiving stage also. It took some time, but I am here. I still afraid of big dogs though!

These two are the funniest, oh breakfast is the best. My husband and I pick like y’all. Don’t apologize you two are the best.

I too was bit on the leg by a pit bull when visiting a friend's house (she was fostering the dog) and they kind of dismissed it. My brother's dog, a golden retriever, also bit my arm and they excused the behavior. It hurts, emotionally and physically. People are flawed but God is good.
