*How do you stay motivated!!!* I don't know if it's just me but I have a serious problem when it comes to motivation. One day I might watch a video and learn a new strategy to be motivated or study effectively and then I'll get maybe 4 or 5 hours done after school, set up a schedule around it because it worked so well... and then end up not following it and having that strategy no longer work for me 😂. Right now I should be studying for my mocks next week too... I need help haha. I feel like I'm missing something...
I used to have the same problem. I would basically go for a run or do something active. I would then use that adrenaline rush to get straight into studying. Also, just recognise that your brain will always want to resist doing things. So the BIGGEST thing is to NOT overthink or contemplate studying for too long. Your brain takes a couple seconds to convince you out of doing something. If you just get moving before that, you will honestly just trick yourself into doing it. It's always your mindset and the way you approach studying that makes all the difference. I still struggle with this, but knowing yourself is alway super helpful!!

Would you recommend going halls without scholarship in first year? I live in Auckland but the commute is quite far and I’d like to go for the experience/friend making opportunity but I’m not sure if it’s worth the 15K a year when I have a home here. Any thoughts?
At this stage because of Covid, do not go to the halls, when there is another lockdown u probably will go home so there’s no point. Also halls are so expensive even tho they are for students. This university loves to scam students of their money. Also halls I found aren’t terribly social in Auckland. Everyone’s either too into their study or snobby
It honestly depends on whether you want to make the financial commitment or not. Staying at home or staying in halls have their own unique experience. I will definitely say that there are more disruptions if you live in halls because of the measures taken for COVID. 15k in my opinion is a bit much for a year. If you really want to move out you can always do flatting which is cheaper but you have to do a lot more work (cooking, cleaning, etc.). In the past I would definitely have said that the halls experience is worth it but since COVID has come around I think staying at home is honestly more practical. But then again, it’s completely up to you. 🥰
Hey! Do you know if Auckland uni will be doing online studying next year too? I wanna apply for Health Science there but I don’t know if they’re gonna continue the online learning (like Sem 1 of 2020 due to covid). Also do you know if they’re gonna do that alternative clinical test for med entry in 2021 like 2020? The CRT or something?
