I had friends close the open game room upstairs to be the bedroom they needed. They also platformed the vaulted entry to be a homework/office nook. Just fyi for a family that turned their 4 bedroom house into 5 and a flex space. Increased their home value very inexpensively. Beautiful family! Inside and out.

I love all the Bates. Thank you to whoever asked about siblings who don't get along because I think you can tell based on the social media activity or inactivity and I wondered. I love that Alyssa was the one who was asked because I think she is the most open. I really hope they will 'make up' because they're all such great people (from what we can see anyway).

Such a fun video to watch! I'm one who struggles with nausea in pregnancy, but not to the extent you do Alyssa! My heart goes out to you and I'm praying Gods strength will carry you thru! I have people who laugh at me when I say the minute that baby is out I feel completely different, things taste good again and the nausea is gone, just like that! I love Proverbs also. Yes. It does apply to our daily lives. I love the challenge you are doing to memorize the book of Proverbs. I respect your decision to pull away from Instagram and spend that time with your family. It's so true that family is SO important. You both are so responsible financially. God had provided a home and a car for you at this time. What a blessing. I'm sure if it's meant to change at a later time, God will make it happen. After 27 years of marriage and 2 children who are nearly 25 and 22 who at the moment have decent jobs we have not really fought through or marriage. We have small disagreements like everyone does but major ones - never really.
About houses? What about dividing the large room upstairs? I’ve been thinking that for a while. It looks like the bedrooms for the girls are for bedtime and the big room for play. Seems like a room for Rhett in the big room would work. And get a treehouse with a low deck outback. 😮❤. Oh! John you used the word exactly and same together!! Yay!! (About busting your chin.). It’s a pet peeve when people say “exact same” or “various different”. 😂
You can give the 4 girls the master suite for now and take the next biggest bedroom. Or you can put the 2 oldest girls in the downstairs room. Lots of options.
The question about discipline - as parents you need to both be on the same pages and back each other up. I have some friends who are not doing that and the mother is favouring the oldest of 3 and the oldest goes and ask their father and does not get the answer they want and then they go to their mother who just agrees to what the child wants. This is going to backfire on the parents when that child get older as that child will always go to the mother to get what they want regardless as to what it was.

I love what you’re doing to try and memorize it all. I did a challenge with it last year where I read one chapter every day, and of course that would take me a month to do with the 31 chapters, but I did it every single month for a year. I honestly saw and learned different things every time I’d go back through it month after month. It was such a blessing. Our Heavenly Fathers word is indeed alive!🙌🏻

You actually have plenty of room in the house you have now. And it's so perfectly set up with the extra room downstairs for the schoolroom and the way the kitchen is open on the living room and dining room. Just take the bonus room upstairs and convert into a couple more bedrooms. Then you could take one of the bedrooms and turn that into a small office or the playroom for Macy and Rhett.

If I'm remembering correctly, isn't the school room ceiling open all the way to the ceiling of the second floor? Would it be possible to add another bedroom above the school room eventually? I don't know anything about construction so IDK if that's a reasonable idea or not but maybe it could be worth looking into someday when you want to move Rhett into his own room.
