@@engineermindtv7293 when flow is on x axis rises from flow l/s from 1 to what you need, then n y axis you have head value, this is llike form a very important curve, can a curv like this be drawn calculated with ANSYS ?

Very nice tutorial! I´ve mimic your procedure with a different geometry and mesh file. I did the geometry on bladegen and mesh on turbogrid, and did the same step by step as you did in the CFX pre set up, but in my transient results my blades weren't moving, do you have any hint to make it to move? Thanks a lot!!
@engineermindtv7293
@engineermindtv7293 4 года назад
Thanks. Realy, i dont know, but when you used the turbogrid and blade gen, i think , this method do not generate full mesh, but only one blade. I prefer native design with full real geometry mesh. But in this case mesh will be much larger than from bladegen, and less quality. Im not sure, can bladegen make a real transient calculation or it is pseudotransient. So if it pseudo transient, it cant show sliding. But i can look at my other projects, when i have some bladegen, and search for full animation options.

Hi @João Alex Mattos, you can set a angle to Geometric transformation Instance in VIEW tab of each component. This will rotate the geometry part or group.. If you put some function of theta = f (time). As you case is unsteady, at each time step a new angle will be calculated and set to graphical instance, and the rotor will move a step forward. This procedure may be done in Steady runs also. 1st key frame angle =0o and the last key frame angle =360o or any you want. Regulate the #of frames and play it.

Why is the wheel a "Fluid domain"?
@engineermindtv7293
@engineermindtv7293 2 года назад
because its not a wheel Physically, it is space between the blades , where is water flow when wheel rotates. So, it is fluid zone, that rotates like a wheel. It is not quite accurate to real physics of the wheel , but for integral parameters like pressure loses, flow rate and speed it is enough
@abhishekbhamare4002
@abhishekbhamare4002 8 месяцев назад
14:52 you gave angualr velocity to fluid domain shouldn't it be given only to the blade for real analysis. I mean that's the whole point of doing cfd that we can see how much momentum is getting exchanged between blades and fluid.

About 11.5 GB for 0.1 sec simulation with 0.001 sec timestep.

wanna ask, if there is a gap between impeller and volute it is still works?
@unleashunlimit
@unleashunlimit 2 года назад
a small gap but we can see it
@engineermindtv7293
@engineermindtv7293 2 года назад
I`m not sure, because, the two surfaces must be contacted for interface. But if you are talk about visual very small gap, and tolleranca of the cfx "do not see this", and think it ZERO, it will be work. It is how you set the accuracy.
