I need those piano songs to study my other subjects, they are very effective for understanding hahaha where can I find the same melodies? thank for your tutorials :)
Thanks for good video. At 04:46, I wonder why the aspect ratios of the automatically generated meshes are not uniform though the geometry is just a rectangular surface. Can you explain? Thank you.
It might be seen as rectangular to our eyes, but if you zoom more into these cells, you might observe the sides are not perfectly perpendicular to each other, which has resulted in such aspect ratio.
Hi. Do you have or recommend any resource material on defining the price for a simulation/modeling consulting service? I am lost. Should I price it hourly ? Thanks.
Nice but only one problem in the beginning properties tab don't appear on RHS. We need to click on LHS icon down arrow and then on properties to start the video.
great work man, A question could you please explain what is residual value how to decide which value is best how the equations achieve this value thanks..
As the initial simulation provides results for only half the pipe? Do the results then need to be doubled or is this the results for full pipe but only shows half in the image?
Its for the full pipe. As you can see, there is an axis boundary condition provided in BC. Which informs the solver regarding the continuity of the pipe.
I am doing a 2D rectangular flat plate ( zero thickness) for blood flow through an artery. the only boundary conditions available is the inlet velocity at 0.23 ( Uavg) and the outlet pressure at 0. in terms of the boundary condition section can you guide on the selection I should make on outlet condition. the Umax is supposed to take an expression Umax = 2 x Uavg.
supposed I want to replace the inlet velocity function with Umax = 2 x Uavg, how do I go about this"?. the parabolic function you used for the velocity profile is it the same as the above equation
Nice tutorial , I am really enjoying it . But please can you make a video on the flow that causes scour around a pile structure, and also a flow that of a tidal turbine . Thank you
Here you have mentioned there will be another tutorial on adjusting the number of CPU processors to be used while solving. Did you already make that? Great work, by the way.
Thank you very much for such demonstrated tutorials. It helps us to understand from geometry creation to post-processing. Could you please make a tutorial on multiphase flow simulation consisting of 3 phases?
I am looking towards simulation of circular microchannel and i created the geometry and mesh in micrometeres. Now in Fluent solver, micrometers units is not there and now will i have to put scaling factors and then scale or if mesh and geometry are already in microcmeters,Fluent directly keeps the domain extents in 10^-6. So what should i do? If already in domain extents by keeping the units metre, its already in value of 10^-6, do i need to scale again or leave and continue? It is also showing solution is converged? Is it sue to the small dimension? Please give me idea.
you have put in set-up operating pressure:101325 Pa, gouge pressure inlet and outlet=0 and initial velocity:0,0005 m/s. why the velocity grow up? i do not have any difference pressure in the boundary conditions...
Can you please share a proper simulation guide video for pulse detonation engine with fuel as c2h2 and oxidizer as air? Also, how to saparate deflagration combustion zone and detonation zone in this simulation of pulse detonation engine. I will be very thankful for your support.
I followed all the steps accordingly, but unfortunately, it shows an error while starting the setup like No error handler available Error: Cortex received a fatal signal (SEGMENTATION VIOLATION). Error Object: (). any solution
I need to model a water tank tower and the base of tower has earthquake as harmonic displacement (for eg. 200mm*sin(omega*t)) can I model in fluent? I am trying to model in fluent but water has not any inlet and outlet. Can you help me in modeling?
please help me out! I'm getting floating point exception error no matter how many times i try...please let me know how to overcome that error...and where I'm going wrong!
Ram is not an issue. There might be problem in boundary condition or material assignment. Another thing might cause this problem if you want to do a vertical flow along y axis with an axisymmetric model setup.
Sir, I'm using ansys 16.0 version. Using face meshing option I'm able to change the element size but unable to find adaptive meshing option. Also there is no such option in defaults. Is there any way i can proceed?
Sir do some icem cfd meshing tutorial , or any personal class is also ok to me , because here nobody knows about it ,I want to do a project on that pls help me sir.
Here is a website , they provide free course on ICEM CFD , hope it would help you. www.learncax.com/courses/by-software/cfd-meshing-with-ansys-icem-cfd-detail
You need to add the Reynolds number option from the data file quantities ,then you can get the Reynolds number at any location in this flow domain. After initialisation, file menu-> datafile quantities> additional quantities-> Reynolds number.
Its calculated using the relation Re= rho× V× Dh/ miu. You can get the values of rho (density) and miu(viscosity) from the fluent material database table.
I think you have skipped the part of the tutorial where I had selected one wall as Axis. and selected the Axisymmetric analysis. In 2D geometry we generally create the half section of the part which is the rectangle.
Ansys-Tutor But the half section of the pipe need (r,theta) ? You draw the rectangle using (x,y)! In another tutorial when you for 3D pipe you used circle to create shape
You cant find the option to draw using r, theta in ansys , only there is Cartesian coordinate in ansys design modeler. The model gets converted to polar coordinates in fluent whenever you select a Axisymmetric solver type.
