Imaan Guhffar I would say over 90% of Americans don’t know who they are! I wish everyone in the world did because they are so delightful! (I'm american, btw) I think the reason people don’t know them, aside from the fact that they never presented any long-running shows here, is that aside from our talk show hosts, Americans don’t have a clue the names of presenters. We also don’t really have any show like I’m a Celeb or Takeaway!

Did you know, when the miners had finished their pasties and they had to throw the crusts away, they would throw them to the "Knockers" who were said to be little folk that lived down Cornish mines. The idea was that if you gave your crusts to the Knockers they would warn miners of impending cave-ins.

This may be different for other parts of the UK, but in the mines near Cornwall the miners didn't actually throw away the crusts because they would clean their hands and eat the whole pasty because they were typically very poor and a pasty was very cheap and therefore they wanted to eat the whole thing, the idea that they threw the crust away is a myth (again, may be different in other places).
