It’s nice to pull back the curtain from time to time and just reach out to your audience. You have a lot of support in these comments because of your comedy, and how down to earth you are. I think the reason why Ryan's fan community is so wholesome is due to how he portrays himself. If he has some sort of criticism, he usually conveys it in a manner that is not toxic or negative, as well as humourous and light-hearted, so the audience doesn't feel agitated afterwards.

These are just as much fun as (if not moreso) the regular Pitch Meetings. It's cool to hear your thoughts on your own work and to see how far you've come over the years. The two characters have become really solid and really found their groove, and it's a huge difference in energy compared to the first Pitch Meetings. Can't wait to see what's next!

It seems like you pour so much of yourself into your characters that pulling back the curtain doesn't feel as weird as you might think. Honestly, it's interesting how I kind of like your characters even more after getting a glimpse of who you are and where this humor kind of comes from. Cats was the first Pitch Meeting I saw from your channel and holds a special place in my heart. We watched Cats during Covid because we were like, “why not”, but got really confused after about 20 minutes but still continued to watch it to see if it got any better and because, “what else are we gonna do in 2020.” I’m glad I finished the whole thing because it lead me to see if anyone on RU-vid had the same thoughts as us after watching the movie and almost every single thing you brought up in your Pitch Meeting were the same comments we were making while watching the movie haha! Polar express was the first one I saw. My friends and I had a discord streaming party where we watched a dozen xmas movies including polar express. When I got on youtube that night it was in my recommends. I didn't understand all the jokes like "tight" or "barely an inconvenience." But when the writer said "The boy gets into a stranger's vehicle in the middle of the night and his life is changed forever." and the producer was horrified, i laughed so hard I had to send the video to all my friends. Then I binge watched every episode and wished I had rationed them because now i wait for them each week like an addict.

This format keeps getting better and better. I really enjoyed the detour you took talking about other filmmakers - I could honestly listen to more of that. Maybe you can consider doing a podcast or series on RU-vid to talk more about such stuff: your favourite filmmakers, what you like about their work, and recommendations. Alternatively, you can pepper those details into your pitch meetings revisited series. Also, can you do the questions segment again? How many times do you watch a movie to make a pitch meeting. Would you consider doing a meet and greet at some event (maybe like comic con Toronto?). Would you ever sign up for Cameo? Finally, I have to say: I binged watched so many Pitch Meetings last year, and it helped me get through some rough times.

Yeah, dude.. I always watch everything you put out. I'm glad you're getting a bit of a reprieve. I've gone through a lot the last few years and having your videos pop up on my timeline always makes the rest of my day. I'm very encouraged by your videos and the community you have helped create. Your on-screen performances are one of the most unique acting caracteristics I've ever witnessed. Your tone, vocabulary and movements play like an act, but feel instinctively alive. You shape yourself as a human discovering human things, segmenting life into instances that you translate with an honest and truthful manner. By unconsciously revealing your thoughts and feelings, you make your characters relatively more mysterious and intriguing. This form of communication is similar to the trouble of expressing your true feelings and having to rely on describing them instead, which might just be what makes your characters so appealing and wholesome. Love getting to know Ryan more! I think it’s really wonderful that despite being a “cynical” styled breakdown of film and especially corporate film mentality, Pitch Meeting just has this ESSENCE of genuine kindness and passion, and that is 100% caused by your invisible touch to the entire thing. That’s the YOU coming through the material, and seeing you talk candidly only cements that theory to me. Also canonically, does pitch guy wear boxers or briefs?

Hey Ryan, absolutely love your content and your style of humour always has me cracking up. I'm really loving listening to you describe the process of your work and I'm glad for even more interesting videos from you! I was curious if the Pitch Meeting characters stay in the videos or are you randomly dropping "Whoopsie's" whenever something bad happens or saying wow, wow, wow. wow. to something great in your everyday life? These videos are great, the pitch meetings are great, this doesn't detract from anything. Honestly your comments on the director is very interesting, it's obvious that your insight into movies are fantastic in order to make these videos in the first place, but it would be genuinely enjoyable to hear your expanded thoughts on the styles and sort of trends in the movies in general. Love your stuff, keep it up dude.
