ANTARCTICA || 2017 

So today I traveled to the incredible Antarctica aboard this state of the art vessel called the SA Agulhas II. The Agulhas II is an icebreaker & a research vessel, which works around the Prince Edwards Islands as well as in the ice locked Antarctica. I spent 2 weeks working aboard this bad boy, mainly on phytoplankton in collaboration with The Department of Environmental Affairs as well as CPUT (Cape Penninsula University of Technology). Other participants were UCT, Stellenbosch University and various international people. This was such an amazing experience that words themselves can not describe and i'd do again in a heart beat.
