A manic rustling was coming from the bush next to the Sphinx Track in Ku-ring-Gai Chase National Park. It turns out it was an Antechinus (also called broad-footed marsupial mouse, pouched mouse, route rat and/or Antechinus shrew) running about. While it looks like a common mouse found on other continents, this is actually a marsupial native to Australia!
