Nah people are wrong about the visual pacing not matching the sound. The song's building intensity is almost anxious, and really complimented well by the rapidly changing shots. It's like someone trying to hold onto a fading memory, or reeling from an emotional event and barely perceiving their surroundings only in glimpses. It really fits in a weird way.
