remember that Socialist Afghanistan lasted for 3 years after the soviets left. After the battle of Jalalbad where the Afghan peoples army kicked out the Western backed mujahedin , the Bush administration and Pakistan quintupled their support for for them and later the Taliban.

The part “you lead us to communism” is mistranslated. It is more like “you’re the red hope of our martyrs.”

Despite myself holding opposition to Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, seeing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan dominated by reactionary, backward elders pursuing ultra-conservatism and traditionalism saddens me, even they refused the least progressive policy of allowing woman getting education, sometimes i wish the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan still exists, as in the last years its government were directing towards the Islamic Socialist ideology.
